Whomsoever allows himself/herself to be used of God. Let me assure you that the enemy of your soul likes nothing better than to cause division and chaos in any church. As a child of God, you should know the principles of Christian Living and Conduct I met a person today (written many years ago) who still carries a grudge of a past church quarrel. Let me assure you that that particular person does not live in God’s perfect peace. Has that person forgiven his brothers- or sisters-in-Christ? What does Scripture tell us? [Matthew 18:15] “But you don’t know what they did to me?” This sentence is sometimes heard by individuals with deep wounds or scars. Let me assure you that the many spiritual battles that were, that are, and that will be fought are won through the precious, powerful Name of Jesus Christ. If you believe with all your heart that God knows your circumstances, then try to rest in the peace that Jesus can give to you. If you can accept the peace that flows from His Heart, then you can conquer any spiritual wound that was or may be inflicted upon you. Anytime you speak evil of a church, a brother or a sister-in-Christ, you are throwing darts at God’s property. Not only are you throwing darts at God’s property, but also ears around you will pick up the stigma of those darts. Are we to accept everything? Dear Child of God, the Bible gives clear directions and guidelines; and, Heavenly Wisdom can guide you. If you have a problem, speak to a pastor that will help you, or a mature believer that can guide you through God’s Word.
However, we do live in an imperfect world. Read Jesus’ prayer of John 17, and you will discover that Jesus also interceded for you and is still interceding at the right Hand of the Father [I John 2:1-3]. Dear Child of God, begin to intercede on behalf of others, instead of throwing darts. Are you looking for Christian love? ... Then, give Christian love! Are you waiting for someone to shake your hand? ... Then, shake someone's hand! Are you waiting for someone to be your friend? ... Then, be a friend! Are the people in your church cold? ... Then, you be warm As I write this article (written many years ago), my telephone rang. A girl's voice wanted to talk to her girlfriend. I sensed the girl to be in distress. Instead of telling her that this is the wrong number, I asked her name and also stated “what is wrong?” “Madeline” had run away from home. She has four brothers and two sisters. Her mother is divorced. “Madeline” got into a big fight with her family. She indicated that she wanted a friend to take her to a youth center in Akron where she had been for a week. How my heart ached for this 14-year old girl. [She had told me her age.] I also stated that her mother must be terribly worried. Her response, “my mother doesn’t care”. I then told her that if she wanted my telephone number that she inadvertently dialed, she may call me any time.” Listen, Child of God -- we must buckle up and get with it! There is a hurting world out there. Are we going to be God’s problem or God’s solution? Rest assured that the problems of a church can be resolved if your heart and conscience goes on your knees and you allow God to handle problems that you cannot resolve.
