WHAT
IS
YOUR
PERSPECTIVE
(OR
THOUGHTS)
ABOUT
TRUE
CHRISTIANITY?
Subject:
"Miracles From the Journey of Life" (November 15, 2008)
(11-15-2008)
The above title
"What Is Your Perspective (Or Thoughts) About True Christianity?"
is a thought-provoking title. Many answers may be given when believers
are asked about the foregoing title. To summarize the "True
Christianity", a person may look into the Holy Bible and receive many
answers to the foregoing question. My Bible tells me that "...God
is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6)
Next
month, December 2008, we are reminded that "the reason for the
Christmas Season is Jesus". God loved and does love mankind so
much that He permitted Jesus to leave the Splendor of Glory and come as a
Baby in Bethlehem's manger.
(John 3:16) Throughout the year, or
years , we may come with humble hearts in prayer of thanksgiving because God loved
us and does love us.
The
perspective of true Christianity may be wonderfully instilled into a child's
heart. I thank God for parents that believed and trusted God in good
and sad times. Today - 11-15-2008 - I was reminded of my mother.
My mother was a God-fearing person and endured much over the years while
journeying toward Heaven. Because my thoughts were directed toward my
mother today, the following brief article was written this afternoon, Saturday,
November 15th as follows . . . . . . . . . . . .
Miracles
From the Journey of Life (November 15, 2008) - written by Johanna Stang
Hobrath
It
was Saturday, November 15, 2008 when I decided to bake home-made
doughnuts. Although this baking procedure is time-consuming, the
thought of munching on home-made doughnuts and drinking coffee sounded
good to me and my husband.
While
cleaning the baking board in the afternoon of Saturday, November 15th, my
thoughts focused upon my mother that had given me the baking board for my
bridal shower (many years ago). The board brought memories of the
time my mother was alive. She is now in heaven rejoicing with the
Lord and the other saints that no longer need to dwell on happenings of
the "Journey of Life."
The
Stang family traveled from Slovakia during World War II, to Hohenfluss, to
Mitterteich, Bavaria, Germany. From Germany, the Stang family
traveled to the United States of America. Such a journey was a
difficult journey for a large family. However, the faith that my
mother displayed was incredible. She believed in "Prayer",
and she knew that God in Heaven listens to a crying heart. For more
information, please read the bottom of the web page http://www.haloministries.net/AChristianDiary/AChristianDiaryPg12.htm.
The article on the web page is entitled "Miracles From Life’s
Journey".
My
dad died when he was in his early 50 years of age. It is always a
tragic happening when a loved one leaves this earth. When my mother
was alive, she shared a dream that God had given to her.
(My
Mother's Dream:
My mother was walking along a green meadow. Next to the meadow was
a stream (or a lake). There was a bent in the river. The
bent in the river had many trees with green leaves. Suddenly, my
mother saw a boat in the distance. In the boat, she saw my father
and several men. All the men were wearing white shirts. The men sat in the boat. My father looked toward my mother and
smiled at her. My mother was walking barefooted in the green
meadow. The boat traveled around the green trees and, then,
disappeared.
(The
above dream was given to my mother shortly after my dad went to be with
the Lord.)
My
mother, a loving Christian, believed praying to the Heavenly Father via
Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Yes, I believe that God gives
dreams, especially when a person goes through a trying time during the
Journey toward Heaven.
Mother
Stang believed in "True Christianity"; and, she lived until she
was 87 years of age. "Life is not always a bed of
roses", as an old cliché tells us; and, one's upbringing has
much to do with one's outlook in life. Although my faith in the
Living God has been nurtured from my young years, I believe that prayer
and reading the Word of God will sustain you in the time of turmoil that
arises while traveling to the Heavenly Home. God permitted my mother
to see a glimpse of my father that traveled to a better place.
Some day, I, too, shall see my father and my mother again. That will
be a rejoicing reunion!
Consider
it a miracle to be a child of God--because Jesus went to the cross many
years ago, and His shed blood gives me the privilege to be part-heir of
Heaven. [Galatians 4:1-7] Count your miracles, and you,
too, will find that your grateful heart does receive blessings that flow
from the Throne of God! Praising and worshipping a Holy
God--in a church, or wherever my praying heart takes me--is important to
me. Psalm 117 so beautifully tells us:
