When
Jesus walked this earth, He compared many every-day happenings to the
Heavenly Kingdom; therefore, mankind received an understanding about the
Heavenly Kingdom. We, too, may use analogies to understand certain
"Heavenly analogies".
Scripture
tells us: "For the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but
righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost". [ Romans 14:17]
It
is in the morning of December 4, 2007. I was in the process of
baking a spice kuchen (spice cake). While preparing the ingredients
for the kuchen that I wanted to bake, a "Heavenly analogy" came
to my mind.
In
order to compile any type of recipe, it is necessary to either have the
recipe written on a piece of paper, and/or have a recipe done according to
your own thinking. To do a baking chore, compiling all the
ingredients for the baking project is needed; and, then, going ahead to
combine the ingredients to make the desired baking item.
What
was my "Heavenly analogy" while starting to prepare the kuchen?
As stated, to bake anything you must have the ingredients from a
particular recipe. Also, when you desire to bake something, you then
gather those ingredients into measuring devices.
What
about "Salvation"? First, a person will desire to receive
the "Salvation Plan". "Salvation" comes
from God through Jesus Christ the Lord and via His Spirit. It is
God's Spirit that draws the person to accepting the "Salvation
Plan". The Bible tells me: "Except a man is born again, He
cannot see the Kingdom of
Heaven". From my perspective, it
would certainly seem that every person desires to some day go to Heaven. "Wanting
to go to Heaven" is given to individuals that desire to go to
Heaven. There is only one way to Heaven, because Jesus said: "…
I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but
by me." [John 14:6]
And, yet, God gives each person the
freedom to choose "THE WAY TO SPIRITUAL LIFE; NAMELY, HEAVEN".
Baking
the Spice Cake is not difficult when the ingredients are in one's
kitchen. After I complete this article, I plan to complete the spice
cake.
The
above paragraphs talk about the "Heavenly analogy" and
"Salvation". After accepting the "Salvation Plan",
the person may want to read the Guidelines; namely, the Holy Bible that
helps to nourish and strengthen one's "Spiritual Life".
Scripture tells us: "O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed
is the man that trusteth in him." [Psalm 34:8]
I
am only one person and cannot force "Salvation" upon
another. I may share what is in my heart and, yet, the choice is up
to each individual.
The
completed spice cake will eventually be eaten and enjoyed. You, dear
reader, may also enjoy the "Heavenly analogy" and what the
Heavenly Father gives to us through Jesus Christ our Lord and via His Holy
Spirit.
God
accepts "Whomever" desires to eat from His Precious Word and
Holy Presence. A few more weeks and December 25th will commemorate
the Birth of our Wonderful Saviour. He came as a Baby, grew up to
teach the knowledgeable people in the temple, and began His Ministry at
the age of 30, and went to the cross at the age of 33 for all mankind; and is coming again
to claim the "Salvation People" unto himself [the Rapture] -
PERHAPS TODAY!

THANK THE LORD THAT I AM PART OF
HIS GLORIOUS BRIDE THAT WILL SOME DAY
RULE AND
REIGN WITH CHRIST FOREVER! JH |

Soon
I shall complete the spice cake; and, the recipe is:
*
2 Cups of Raisin soaked in 2 Cups of boiling water
*
1 Cup Chopped Walnuts
*
3-½ Cups Flour
*
1 Cup Sugar
*
3 Eggs
*
2 tspn Cinnamon
*
2 tspn Nutmeg
*
2 tspn Baking Soda
*
1 tspn Cloves, some Salt
*
1-2 tspn Almond Flavoring
From
the Sugar to the Almond Flavoring, beat ingredients with electric
mixer.
Slowly
add Flour, and, also, may add some of the boiled water for easier
mixing.
Then
add with a wooden/plastic spoon the Raisins and remainder boiled water and
chopped Walnuts.
Place
in two 12"x 3-l/4" Pans - or use two bread loaf pans -
Bake
at 350 for 30+ minutes (ovens vary)
If
using a 9x13 pan, you need to lessen the baking time.
When
inserting a toothpick, you can tell if the Spice Cake is done when the
toothpick comes out clean.
This
recipe can be baked ahead and stored in the freezer.

BAKING! JH

My
tasks for today, December 4, 2007 are:
1.
Bake the Spice Cake,
2.
And, then, join a church group this afternoon. The "Sonshiners"
(group of seniors) will be filling the Christmas stockings for needy
children; and, also, they will be making table arrangements. Jesus
said: "… Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto
me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
[Matthew 19:14]
