(June
26, 2002 - written while seated in a traveling bus) At approximately
8:00 a.m., on June 26, 2002, the lovely bus carried the Sonshine Circle
(Bethel Temple Assembly of God) as it traveled the highway and headed toward
its destination of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This morning the sun peeked
through the clouds. The air-conditioned bus afforded a comfortable
atmosphere for me, my husband, and the other Christians, while we continued
traveling along the highway. The group of 45 elderly persons and the
young driver were joyfully anticipating a lovely trip. While the bus
rolled on, the beautiful worship songs, that were echoing throughout the bus,
gave tribute to our wonderful Lord Jesus who is the focus of the Sonshine
Group. What will we find in Pennsylvania?
The
Millennium Theater is located in Lancaster (Stroudsburg), Pennsylvania.
At the present time the powerful story of the Biblical Daniel is being
presented.
At
about 10:30 a.m., June 26, 2002, a video was viewed from the TV screens that
are positioned on either side of the traveling bus. The “Cathedral
Group” was singing “I
WANT TO THANK JESUS FOR THE PLAN OF SALVATION.”
|
My
Prayer of Praise: “Thank you God for sending Jesus!”
While
traveling the highway,
I was so much reminded that
our
spiritual lives may be compared to the traveling of a road.
The
road to Heaven is via the cross of Calvary.

(July
6, 2002) In the afternoon of June 26th, the traveling bus arrived in
Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The hostess from the McIntosh Inn presented a
welcome speech to all the passengers. The motel rooms had already been
assigned to individual couples and/or single persons. After I and my
husband refreshed ourselves in the motel room, the entire Sonshine Group was
soon on the way to the Millennium Theater. The following photographs
were taken from the outdoor and indoor building of the impressive Millennium
Theater:

While
being seated inside the Millennium theater, the introduction to the Daniel
Show was given by a gentleman. He stated, in essence, “although the
story is based upon the Biblical Accounts, additional scenes are also made
available.”
WHO
WAS DANIEL?
Daniel
is considered the fourth of the greater prophets.
Daniel
1:3 tells us: “And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs,
that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king’s
seed, and of the princes;”
The
foregoing Bible verse tells us that Daniel possessed many personal
endowments. Daniel had been taken to Babylon in “the 3rd year of
Jehoiakim” (B.C. 604) and trained for the king’s service. Daniel,
via a divine resolve, abstained from the “king’s meat” for fear of being
defiled.
Daniel
1:8 states: “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile
himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he
drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not
defile himself.”
Also,
Daniel 1:9-16 gives further
information.
The
Bible also tells us about the three Israelites and about Daniel:
“As
for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and
wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.”
[Daniel 1:17]
In
the second year of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, Nebuchadnezzar had troubled
dreams that caused him to have sleepless nights.
Daniel
2:2 tells us that he called his
astrologers, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans.
Daniel
2:3 tells us: “And
the king said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to
know the dream.”
It
was God that revealed to Daniel the interpretation concerning Nebuchadnezzar’s
dream.
Daniel
said: “But there is a God in
heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar
what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head
upon thy bed, are these;” [Daniel 2:28]
Nebuchadnezzar
had a dream about a huge statue (Daniel
2:29-45). Because Nebuchadnezzar was
grateful to Daniel, Daniel 2:47-48
tells us: “The king answered
unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a
Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this
secret. Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great
gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the
governors over all the wise men of Babylon.”
The
Bible tells us that Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold (Daniel
3:1).
It
was then decreed that everyone was to bow down to the statue.
Nebuchadnezzar had set up the statue in the plains of Dura, located in the
providence of Babylon. A decree was signed by the king that whoever did
not bow down to the golden statue, they would then be thrown in the fiery
furnace.
When
the three Israelites were confronted about worshipping the statue and the
possibility of dying because of their refusing to worship the statue, they
replied:
“If
it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery
furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not,
be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship
the golden image which thou hast set up.” [Daniel 3:17,18]
The
Bible tells us that Daniel and the two Israelites did not worship the golden
statue and were, therefore, thrown into a burning fiery furnace. [Daniel
3:19-24]
Nebuchadnezzar
saw a miracle and said: “He
answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire,
and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Etc.”
[Daniel 3:25-30]
While
the three Israelites came out of the fiery furnace unharmed, Nebuchadnezzar
said: “Then Nebuchadnezzar spake,
and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent
his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed
the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor
worship any god, except their own God.” [Daniel 3:28; also
read Daniel
3:29,30]
While
the years passed by, Belshazzar, the son of Nebuchadnezzar [Daniel
5:2] commanded that the golden
vessels from the temple of the Lord be brought to a large festivity.
Belshazzar made a feast and praised the gods of gold [Daniel
5:2];
thereby he defied the true God of Heaven.
[Johanna’s
Comments: God is longsuffering. Scripture tells us of God’s
Love and, also, of God’s judgment.]
While
Belshazzar was partying and defying the sacred vessels of the Lord, the
fingers of a man’s hand wrote on the wall [Daniel
5:5]. The king became
troubled; therefore, Daniel was called to interpret the vision [Daniel
5:10-31].
Because
Daniel had Godly abilities in interpreting dreams and visions, he became first
president in Darius’ kingdom. There were jealous rulers that compiled
a decree that Darius needed to sign.
[Daniel 6:7]
Because
Daniel prayed to the true God, he was cast into the lions’ den [Daniel
6:11,17-21].
The
next morning, Daniel said to the king: “My
God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not
hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before
thee, O king, have I done no hurt." [Daniel 6:22]

While
being seated in the Millennium Theater, and while Daniel was in the
lions’ den, Daniel sat on top of a rock pile. The rock pile
and Daniel were moved to the front of the stage. A huge curtain
was then displayed behind the rock pile. Upon that curtain, the
audience saw scenes that portrayed the futuristic happenings as
outlined in the Book of Revelation. Our Glorious King, the
Lord Jesus Christ, is
coming again for the worldwide, born-again believers.
Matthew
24:44 tells us: “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour
as ye think not the Son of man cometh."
The
Daniel Show in the Millennium Theater, near Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is a
powerful dramatic presentation. This presentation makes the events
of Biblical Happenings come alive. The portrayal of Biblical Events,
the Biblical Settings, as well as the colorful costumes of the
actors/actresses add
enormously to the awesome presentation of the Daniel Show.

While
returning home in the evening of June 27, 2002, I and my husband knew that the
out-of-town relatives were to visit that weekend and for several days to
come. The gatherings that took place with the relatives that are
missionaries to Germany, a couple from New Jersey, a couple from Milwaukee,
relatives living in Ohio, and the other friends were enjoyable.

JESUS
SAID: “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to
give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and
Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. I
Jesus, have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the
churches. I am the root and the offspring of David and the
bright and morning star.” Revelation
22:12,13,16
“And
the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth
say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever
will, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation
22:17

“The
grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”

22:21
