Please
take time to read this Web Page . . . The Photos on this Web
Page are astounding! |
The
Holy Bible has stood the "Test of Time." Its awe-inspiring
messages (GENESIS TO REVELATION) have proclaimed the "Awesome
Creation," the
"Mighty Rulers of Nations," the "Weaknesses of Mankind," the
"Fulfillment
of Events Proclaimed by Prophets," the "Prayers of Sincere
Hearts,"
the "Birth
of the Saviour of the world; namely, Jesus Christ the Lord,"
the "Holy Spirit's
Power at Pentecost," and the "Promise of Christ's
Return
for the Church--the
worldwide Bride."
Christ
died on the cross of Calvary for all people, thus
bringing
forgiveness of sins to all mankind.
Hebrews
9:28 tells us:
"So
Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and
unto
them that look for him shall he appear the second
time without sin
unto salvation."

It
was on December 30, 2009, when I received an astounding email message from
one of my brothers. The following photos with their captions speak
for themselves!
Notice
the cross on the bottom right of the hill on fire ...............

Before
the very last picture in the below sequence ............

The
next day ...............

"Even
the fire fighters, that were near the cross, as it was surrounded with
flames, said it was going to be destroyed ..... the next day, Gene Blevins
- photographer - went back to the scene to get some more shots and saw
that the cross was not even touched, not even scorched from the heat . . .

Johanna's Comments ~
While
publishing the photos of the Cross
that
stood on the Californian hillside,
the
beautiful hymn "The Old Rugged Cross" came to mind.
While
researching the website "http://www.bjproductions.com/rugged.html",
I
decided to post the following paragraph:
"Hymn
pollsters report that "The Old Rugged Cross" is the most
frequently requested hymn; and songbook editors have designated it as the
most popular of all twentieth-century religious songs. Within thirty years
of its initial publication in 1913, more than twenty million copies of
"The Old Rugged Cross" had been sold, outselling every other
musical composition of any kind published to that date! What is it that
makes this gospel song so popular?" Ref:

THE OLD RUGGED CROSS ~
On
a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The
emblem of suffering and shame;
And
I love that old cross where the dearest and best,
For
a world of lost sinners was slain.
So
I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till
my trophies at last I lay down,
I
will cling to the old rugged cross,
And
exchange it someday for a crown.
