In
order to be teachable, the person generally will select a class that
offers subjects that bring about more knowledge, and, therefore, apply
such knowledge to his or her life.
Being
a mature adult, the years have taught me many subjects in the realm of:
1.
Godliness
2.
Relationships
3.
Maturity
4.
Every-day Occurrences
Scripture
tells us: “But without faith it is impossible to please
him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that
he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6
Also,
Scripture tells us: “ . . . faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by
the word of God.” Romans 10:17
Does
a teachable person say “yes” to everything that another person will
tell you? People can be teachable and submissive, and, yet, use
wisdom in discerning what they hear and/or what they are taught. Jesus
said: “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of
wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”
Matthew 10:16
God
did not create us like robots. Your personality make-up will vary
with my make-up. God,
however, tells us in Genesis 1:26,27,28 . . .
“And
God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and
let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of
the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
“So
God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him;
male and female created he them.
“And
God blessed them, and God said unto them. Be fruitful, and
multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have
dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and
over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
The
previous Scripture Verses tell us that we are made in the image of God;
however, you or I have an individual personality.
I
do believe as a human being we try to live a righteous life;
however, we are not as yet like angels walking in the perfected state
and living in the Glorious Eternity.
Life,
in general, teaches a continuous flow of new adventures within the
life-style of daily living.
The
autumn season of any year will teach that the winter season will also
appear. Life, too, has seasons that bring changes to one’s daily
living.
The
weather with rain or sunshine brings times of needed changes for the
purpose of meadows that become green, vegetables that grow, and fruit
trees that become ready for harvest.
Rain
in our lives may also bring negative situations; however, our God sees
our pain during those seasons. Have you grown during the “seasons
of pain”? Yes, I have! However, I relish the “season of
sunshine” and am assured that “Jesus my Sunshine” knows that His
child may continue in the Love of Grace that flows from the Treasures of
Heaven; namely, our Loving Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Son of the
Living God! (I
John 2:1,2)
Next
time, dear reader, when the rain in your life brings moments of despair,
please know that the Sunshine of Heaven, my caring Lord Jesus Christ,
surrounds His child with His Sustaining Love forever.
James
1:17 tells us: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from
above, and cometh down from the Father of lights. Etc.”
Christians,
we serve a Powerful God!
