It is now two days since the September 11, 2002 one-year commemoration
of the horrendous happenings in New York city, the plane crash in
Pennsylvania, and the devastation at the Pentagon.
While
reflecting upon the September 11, 2001 occurrence, the magnitude of
the happening cannot possibly be totally comprehended. We see
the news from the television screen, the news from the many
newspapers, magazines and/or stories that speak about this tragic
happening. However, have you ever given any thought of what may
have happened in Heaven on September 11, 2001?
Please
understand I am not a psychic person, neither do I claim to know it
all. I do, however, perceive what the Holy Scripture tells
us. What will Heaven be like? Will I recognize the people
that I know here on earth? What will Jesus look like? What
will Jesus say to me? What will my mother and/or father say to
me? What will my friends say to me in Heaven?
I
believe the foregoing questions have been asked throughout the
ages. Scripture gives us many answers. But, to completely
understand the enormous significance of Heaven, you or I must walk the
path that leads to Heaven; and, then, some day, we will walk the “Street
of Gold” that is promised in Holy Scripture.
Two
thousand years ago, God wanted to unite with mankind and He sent His
Son to earth for that very purpose (John
3:16). Also,
we are told that we must experience a “Spiritual Rebirth” (John
3:3) in order to
get to Heaven.
I
cannot possibly comprehend those grieving experiences of the people
that have relatives and friends that died in the September 11, 2001
devastation. What, do you suppose, occurred in Heaven on
September 11, 2001?
On
September 11, 2001, little boys and girls entered the
Golden
Gate in Heaven. They were able to talk, and perhaps said “Where
is mommy and daddy?” And, then, Jesus wiped their tears from their
eyes (Revelation
21:4).
On
September 11, 2001, the police persons and firefighters entered the
Golden Gate of Heaven. They asked: “Where are the other
co-workers?" And, then, God wiped the tears from their
eyes (Revelation
21:4), and they
continued to walk the beautiful Golden Street of Glory and now are
enjoying the vast Kingdom of God.
On
September 11, 2001, a husband entered the Golden Gate of
Heaven. He asked, what is this place and will I see my wife
and children again? And, then, God wiped the tears from his
eyes (Revelation
21:4), and he too
walks the beautiful Golden Street of Glory and is enjoying the vast
Kingdom of God.
On
September 11, 2001, a wife entered the Golden Gate of Heaven.
She asked, what is this place and will I see my husband and children
again? And, then, God wiped the tears from her eyes (Revelation
21:4), and, now,
she too walks the beautiful Golden Street of Glory and is enjoying
the vast Kingdom of God.
On
September 11, 2001, other friends and relatives entered the Golden
Gate of Heaven. While they entered the Glorious Place of
Heaven, they saw hundreds of people that never have seen such a
beautiful place. Those people wondered what happened to them,
and, then, they remembered that awful morning of September 11,
2001. While tears rolled down their cheeks, they remembered
crying out to God and, now, they are in the visible presence of God
and He wiped their tears (Revelation
21:4), and, they
too are enjoying the Glorious Place called Heaven.
America
will forever remember that fateful day of September 11, 2001.
History will inscribe the happenings that occurred in a land that is
called the “Brave and the Free.” While our hearts cry out to
God and with empathy we bring prayers for those that are left on
earth, may we always remember that GOD
SEES EVERY TRAGEDY THAT IS HAPPENING TO MANKIND.
In
your personal life, have you had a September 11 experience?
Tragedies can turn into triumph. They can make you stronger and
help you turn to a God in Heaven. He understands pain better
than any other human being. Yes, God has compassion for the
suffering mankind. The Bible tells us that we must pray for
those in authority. I
Timothy 2:2 and 3 tells us: “I exhort, therefore, that, first of
all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be
made for all men. For kings, and for all that are in authority;
that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and
honesty.”
I
thank God that I live in America. Wars inflict pain and
confusion to countries and families. History tells us of wars
that occurred during the ages. We are, therefore, admonished to
pray for those that are in authority. The leaders in governments
have obligations to secure, with Godly Wisdom, their countries and its
citizens.

Some
time ago, I was privileged to write an article about Heaven. The
article reads as follows:
WHAT
WILL HEAVEN BE LIKE?
Written
by Johanna Hobrath
Heaven
is likened unto . . .
A
GARNER
Matthew
3:12 tells us: “Whose fan is in his hand, and he will
thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but
he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
A
GLORIOUS PLACE
Isaiah
57:15 tells us: “For thus saith the high and lofty One that
inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy
place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to
revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the
contrite ones.”
Colossians
3:4 tells us:
“When
Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with
him in glory.”
I
Thessalonians 2:12 tells us:
“That
ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and
glory.”
A
HEAVENLY COUNTRY
Matthew
13:44 tells us:
“Again,
the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which
when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and
selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.”
Hebrews
11:16 tells us:
“But
now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God
is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a
city.”
A
HEAVENLY HOME
Luke
15:6 and 7 tells us:
“And
when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours,
saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was
lost.
“I
say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner
that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which
need no repentance.”
John
14:1 and 2 tells us:
“Let
not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
“In
my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have
told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”
A
PLACE OF GOD'S THRONE AND THE THRONE OF JESUS
Revelation
3:21 tells us:
“To
him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as
I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”
Revelation
5:6-9 tells us:
“And
I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts,
and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain,
having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God
sent forth into all the earth.
“And
he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon
the throne.
“And
when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders
fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden
vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
“And
they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to
open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to
God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and
nation.”
Revelation
7:9 tells us:
“After
this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number,
of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before
the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms
in their hands;”
A
PLACE OF THE HEAVENLY ANGELS
Matthew
25-31 tells us:
“When
the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with
him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:”
A
PLACE OF THE HEAVENLY REGISTER
Luke
10:20 tells us:
“Notwithstanding
in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather
rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”
I
John 5:7 tell us:
“For
there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and
the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”
A
PLACE OF HEAVENLY TREASURES
Matthew
6:20 tells us:
“But
lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust
doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:”
Luke
12:33 tells us:
“Sell
that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not
old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief
approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.”
A
PLACE OF REST
Hebrews
4:9 tells us:
“There
remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.”
Revelation
14:13 tells us:
“And
I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the
dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit,
that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
CITY
OF THE LIVING GOD
Revelation
21:22 and 23 tells us:
“And
I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are
the temple of it.
“And
the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it:
for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light
thereof.”
ETERNAL
HOME
II
Corinthians 5:1 tells us:
“For
we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved,
we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in
the heavens.”
THE
KINGDOM OF GOD
Matthew
8:11 tells us:
“And
I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall
sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew
13:43 tells us:
“Then
shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their
Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”
Matthew
18:10 tells us:
“Take
heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you,
That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father
which is in heaven.”
LIFE
ETERNAL
Matthew
25:46 tells us:
“.
. . but the righteous into life eternal.”
John
10:28 tells us:
“And
I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither
shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
THE
PLACE OF THE BRIDE (BORN-AGAIN BELIEVERS) AND THE HEAVENLY GROOM, THE
LORD JESUS CHRIST
Revelation
19:5-9 tells us:
“And
a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his
servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
“And
I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of
many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying,
Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
“Let
us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage
of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
“And
to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and
white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
“And
he saith unto them, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the
marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true
sayings of God.”
To
summarize Heaven, the following Scripture Verse also brings excitement
to my soul and spirit because:
Revelation
21:4 tells us:
“And
God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no
more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any
more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
WILL
I KNOW YOU IN HEAVEN?
IF
NOT, WE
WILL GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER IN HEAVEN!
