SCRIPTURE VERSES

Introduction:  It was Sunday morning, February 28, 2010, I listened to a TV Minister while preparing to attend a morning worship service where my husband and I worship.  A particular Scripture Verse came to my mind and heart.  Bible Verses with their promises, encouragement, admonition, etc., are faith-building and precious to me; therefore, another web section for the Halo Ministries' Website is being created today, February 28, 2010.  Johanna

It has been said that a person has 1. body, 2. soul, and 3. spirit . . .

1.  The body is alive because a person's heart will pump the blood throughout the body.

2.  The soul of a person is eternal.  When the heart stops beating, the soul goes into an eternity of one's choice.

3.  The spirit of a person . . .

(The dictionary defines the spirit as "The vital essence or animating force in living organisms; esp. man, often considered divine in origin."  (Information from Funk & Wagnall Standard Desk Dictionary, Volume 2, N-Z)

In every-day life, mankind is sustained by the food that is consumed; therefore, you and I receive the necessary nutrients that we need.

In order to receive the necessary nutrients in the spiritual realm, it is of vital importance to receive "spiritual nutrition" via Bible reading, prayer, and attending Church Services of one's choice.

The Scripture Verse that came to my mind and heart on February 28, 2010, is from II PETER 3:18 . . .

"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  To him be glory both now and for ever.  Amen."

"Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth".  PSALM, 57:5  (3-1-2010)

(3-2-2010)  My old Bible has many Scripture Verses that have notations; therefore, my eyes focus upon those Bible Verses.  A Scripture Verse for today speaks to my heart as follows:

"And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him.  And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us."  I JOHN 3:24  (3-2-2010)

"The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation."  PSALM 118:14  (3-7-2010)

~ PSALM 4:6-8 (3-22-2010) ~

"There be many that say, Who will shew us any good?  LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us."

"Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased."

"I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:  for thou, LORD, only makes me dwell in safety"

(ISAIAH 41:10 (3-30-2010) " Fear thou not; for I am with thee:  be not dismayed; for I am thy God:  I will strengthen thee:  yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

PSALM 116:1,2 (4-12-2010)  (1) "I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.  (2) Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live."

PROVERBS 16:20 (6-21-2010)  He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.
