REVIVAL - PAGE TWO - #19

Written by Johanna Hobrath

Last evening, November 26, 2001, I and my husband walked into the International Exposition Center (Cleveland, Ohio).  Many lovely chairs were made available for the many participants.  At the top of the podium, a huge American flag was displayed. The large flag was draped from the top to the bottom of the podium.  The inscription at the bottom of the flag shared a portion from II Chronicles 7:14.

"IF MY PEOPLE,

WHICH ARE CALLED BY MY NAME,

SHALL HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY,

AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM

THEIR WICKED WAYS;

THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN,

AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN,

AND WILL HEAL THEIR LAND.

II CHRONICLES 7:14

During the Prayer Service of that evening, many powerful prayers came from the clergymen that were assembled at the podium.  Forgiveness for this nation and the church (Christians in America) was a main prayer topic.  During the well organized Prayer Service, the individual visitor was asked to pray by themselves.

If you believe in the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, then read what the Spirit of God placed upon my heart during the individual prayer-time.

“Revival comes when repentance begins in the person’s heart...after repentance, Godly love steps in...that Godly love counts no wrongs...God-like love takes over...the church must also repent and love one another with a genuine love...the Spirit of God hovers over an individual, group of earnest prayer warriors, or church congregations when He is truly welcomed...Revival is not completely dependent upon the shepherd, however is dependent upon the individual heart that forgives, and this must be in the forefront of Revival...etc.

My heart was stirred when a young person prayed to God and to the audience, “Raise up a generation to change the world.”  Another young person prayed to God and to the audience, “God of all ages....”

(Johanna's Comments:  the two previous paragraphs were typed because of the notes that I wrote during the individual prayer time at the International Exposition Center on November 26, 2001.)

The prayer Service at the International Exposition Center was awesome.  People from many denominational churches were clapping and raising their hands, and, thereby, petitioning God for help and protection.  My heart was stirred when the audience was requested to pray for the September 11th terrorism attack that occurred in New York.  Words cannot adequately describe the electrifying, Godly atmosphere that took place in the Prayer Service of November 26, 2001.

Revival?  I do believe, read and hear that true revival is taking place all over the world!

I want to emphasize again:  As we approach the Christmas Season of 2001, may we remember the Christ Child that came to this “Global Circle” and may we step into that Circle with humility and bended knees.  (Ref:  REVIVAL - PAGE ONE)

A Greater Revival?  “God, let it continue in my heart!”

Please Note:  For additional information, please read an excellent article that appeared in the November 27, 2001 issue of “THE PLAIN DEALER” Newspaper.  The article in the newspaper carried the caption, “3,700 voices, 1 prayer: God bless America.”
