"TRAVELING THE HIGHWAY"

A woman had a dream during the early morning hours of May 16, 2005.  She dreamed that she was traveling on a very high, narrow highway.  As long as she was traveling in the car she was safe and secure.  The narrow highway was located on a high mountain.  While awake that morning, May 16th, the woman was reminded of a European trip that occurred during the year 2004.  During the European trip, the woman did travel many highways in (*) Switzerland.  Those highways in  Switzerland were narrow highways and were situated on high mountains.

What is the significance of the dream?  I do believe that God does teach via dreams and visions.  The Old Testament and the New Testament tell of dreams and visions.  The same God, that allowed those dreams and visions to occur in people’s lives in the olden days, is the same God of today, 2005, and 2006, and 2007, and 2008, etc.

The woman firmly believes that the driver of the car in that dream was Jesus.  And, as long as your faith and belief is focused upon Christ, you then may have that assurance that He is with you as you travel through this life toward Heaven.

You or I may come upon obstacles or bumps on the road of life; however, we may be assured that Jesus will and can give directions that lead to the “Glorious Hope"; namely, Heaven!

God did not promise skies to be always without rain and thunder, but I can be assured to hold onto the Hand of Jesus.  It is Jesus that can provide additional comfort, assurance and/or directions for the provisions needed in everyday living.

A few selected Scripture Verses read as follows:

Hebrew 11:6

"But without faith is is impossible to please him:  for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

Psalm 33:18

"Behold the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope for his mercy."

Psalm 121:1,2

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth."

I Corinthians 2:9,10

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  But God hath revealed them unto us by the Spirit:  for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God."

The March-April 1988 issue of the "Woman's Touch" Magazine [Springfield, Missouri] carried a profound poem.  The poem reads as follows:

My Master

written by Johanna Hobrath

My Lord and I shall walk this life together

Until eternal sunrise breaks at last,

Until through tear-stained eyes I see Him

With all the saints who lived in ages past.

My Master, who once hung--despised, rejected

Upon a cruel cross of Calvary,

Has saved me and has altered my perspective

By faith in Him, I'll live eternally.

Each day I sense the wonder of His presence

And marvel at His love unfailing, kind,

I look to Him for guidance and direction

Submitting Spirit, Body, Soul, and Mind.
