My
Bible tells me in John
14:6: " . . . Jesus saith unto him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me' ".
Sunday
morning, March 7, 2010, while sitting in the church pew, and seeing the
emblems of the Lord’s Supper, my thoughts focused upon the negative remarks
that I made to a relative. Of course, I was reprimanded by the relative for
the negative remarks that I made that morning. Furthermore, my spiritual
thinking was: "How can I participate in taking the emblems of the Lord’s
Supper"?
This
web article is not easy for me to write (type); and, yet, I believe that this
article shares a very important subject, namely: "The Lord’s Supper".
You
may ask: "What is the
significance of 'The Lord’s Supper?' "
Scripture tells us that Christ Jesus came to earth .
The Heavenly Father loved and does
love us so much that He sent Jesus to earth "to seek and to save".
The
earthly journey for Jesus began in the town of Bethlehem 2000 years ago.
Jesus
physically walked this earth until the age of 33; and, then, Jesus was
crucified on the cross of Calvary. Christ Jesus rose again and was seen
by numerous people.
In
the book of Acts we read:
"But ye shall receive power after that the Holy
Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
(Acts 1:8)
Additional
comments: Please note while Jesus was ready to ascend into heaven,
He indicated that they are to be witnesses
within their area where they live, etc. Also, Jesus emphasized the need for being
witnesses unto "the uttermost part of the earth."
I believe the foregoing
phrase indicates that Jesus had great love for the people throughout the
entire world.
When
Jesus spoke the words about being witnesses, He was taken up
into the clouds until he was out of their sight. (Acts 1:9)
Also, Scripture
tells us that while the people were looking at this awesome happening, two men
stood by them in white clothing (Acts 1:10).
And, then, the angels said: "
. . . Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into
heaven? This same Jesus, which
is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen
him go into heaven.” Acts 1:11
Additional
comments: Please note: When Jesus ascended into heaven, Scripture tells us
that a cloud received Him and He then was out of their sight. We are told that
Jesus will return in like manner. This to me indicates that Jesus will return
visibly through a cloud. What an exciting prospect! Today, Christians may also
look up and expect Christ’s Return.
Regarding "The
Lord's Supper", you
may also ask "What are the signs/symbols of "The Lord’s Supper"?
The
symbolism of "The Lord’s
Supper" is generally bread/wafers/soup croutons
and grape juice.

The
significance of "The Lord’s Supper"
is a solemn occasion that reminds us
of the sacrifice that Jesus did for you and I on the cross of Calvary. The
Lord’s Supper is not to be taken lightly because the Bible tells me . . .
"But
let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink
of that cup.
"For
if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
"But
when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be
condemned with the world.
"Wherefore,
my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another."
I
Corinthians 11:28,31,32,33
The
foregoing Verses speak much about the importance of taking "The Lord’s
Supper" with great reverence.
P.S.
I look forward to participating in the Precious Lord’s Supper next time.
However, the greatest event will be when Jesus returns to take His Believers
to the Glorious Eternity. (I
Thessalonians 4:16-18) Don’t miss the chance to know
the Saviour of all mankind!
(April
6-8, 2010) It was a sunny day on EASTER MORNING of 2010. My
husband and I wore our Sunday clothing as we made ourselves ready to attend
the Easter Service at the Church where we worship. Many people attended
the service that morning. The choir blessed the people with their
singing. The message of Easter Morning 2010 was profound. The
message made reference to the CROSS OF CHRIST. The illustration about
the Cross was as follows:

(APRIL
6-8, 2010)
(April
6, 2010) The
last two days have been tremendously challenging for the writing ministry
for the Halo Ministries' Website. From the year 2000 until April 2010
(almost 10 yeas), I have had the privilege to have a good company host the beautiful
Halo Ministries' Website. The migration on April 5, 2010 of the Halo
Ministries' Website to another server has been extremely trying. I
trusted and do trust the Lord to give me wisdom for the migration completion
of the present Halo Ministries' Website.. And now, the migration of
the Halo Ministries' Website is slowly taking shape; however, much work has
yet to be done. Prayerfully, Johanna
(April
6, 2010) Today is a beautiful, sunny day and I decided to take a rest in a
patio chair; therefore, permitting the warmth of the sun's rays to warm my
face. While sitting in the chair, I closed my eyes. Suddenly I
saw the formation of a cross again. I was puzzled when seeing the
cross. On that cross I vaguely saw as if a person was upon that cross.
"Lord", I said from my heart, "You are no longer upon the
cross!" And, then, during that scenario, the cross
disappeared. Immediately afterwards, I saw a woman - from the right side, facing
toward the left side. The woman wore darkened clothing. Her dark, long
head scarf covered the top of her head to the middle of the portrait. The woman reminded me of an Israelite
woman wearing that type of clothing.
THE
INTERPRETATION: As I write (later type) this awesome scenario, I am
personally reminded of the following Scripture Verse . . .
"
I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ
liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the
faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."
GALATIANS 2:20
