CONTENTMENT AND
A PRAYER
- #40
Written

People
throughout the many nations face challenges that, at times, bring
disappointments into their daily lives. Happiness is a commodity
that every person desires in daily living. However, happiness is
not always guaranteed for the individual, families, communities, or the
nations of the world. When Jesus walked this earth, He admonished and
encouraged His disciples. Jesus said: "These
things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In
the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have
overcome the world." John 16:33
The
heart of God sees your hurts and your joys. God understands human
nature. Remember, He created the human being in the Garden of
Eden. In the Garden of Eden Satan enticed Eve, and Eve enticed
Adam. Therefore, the plight of human suffering began when Adam and
Eve had to work for their livelihood.
Whatever
you are facing in your surroundings, may "Godly Contentment"
help you in your daily life.
The
following article entitled "GODLY CONTENTMENT" continues to
speak about the contentment that comes from God.
GODLY
CONTENTMENT
Written
by Johanna S. Hobrath
Throughout
the ages, mankind has heard many stories from the lives of people.
One's heart is filled with emotions when the plight of an individual,
families, groups of people, or a nation comes into focus.
However,
everyone loves to hear a story of happiness. Living in luxury and
having good health may be the dream for many people.
The
Bible tells us: ".
. . I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be
content." Philippians 4:11
When
looking at the previous Scripture Verse, the phrase "I have
learned" also speaks to my heart. Contentment is a
"Spiritual Commodity" that can be acquired via a
"Contentment from God through Christ Jesus."
When
taking a glimpse at your present life, can you say, "The status of
my present life is satisfactory?"
The
years from Slovakia to America have brought many tears of pain and joy
to me; however, I continue to learn to be content and grateful for the
situations in my life. (Philippians
4:11)
May
your "today" and your "tomorrow" be filled with the
knowledge that Christ Jesus can walk with you on the "Righteous
Path" that leads to Heaven.
The following prayer may be prayed every day:

A
PRAYER
~

God,
I thank You for daily provisions. I thank You for
daily health for me and my family. I thank You, Lord,
that You love me and sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, from the
Splendor of Glory to die for my sins. I thank You,
Lord, that You made provision for me to be part-heir of the
Heavenly Kingdom that is promised in Your Holy Word (Galatians
4:1-7). Help me to continue to live my life as a
proud Christian because I am a child of the King of kings,
and may I live a life whose heart bows in humility to You
God, Creator of the Heavens and the Earth! In Jesus'
Name, Amen!
