OMETIMES
GOD WORKS
IN
MYSTERIOUS WAYS
HIS
WONDERS TO PERFORM" - #42
Written
by Johanna Hobrath
It
was in the month of July (2001), after working several weeks on the HALO
Ministries’ Website, I came upon exasperating computer functions
that
did not allow me to complete the additional computer program.
While sitting at my computer, I prayed and asked the Lord to show me
what to do.
The
foregoing information may perhaps mean very little to someone that has
never worked on a website. However, the needed answer to my
desperate prayer brought a tremendous joy to my heart; and because of
the answered prayer, I knew that I had to keep my promise and attend the
church service with my husband.
What
was so unique about that particular church service? During the
worship portion of the service, the Lord spoke profoundly and definitely
to my heart and said, “THE CHURCH BELONGS TO ME!” A Christian that
knows the Bible might say, “That statement is not a profound
statement, because the Bible states:
“For
the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the
church: and he is the saviour of the body.” Ephesians 5:23
When
the Lord spoke to my heart during the worship portion of the service
during that evening, I reasoned with the Lord and stated from my heart,
“Lord, how can you love the body? There are imperfect people
within the congregation, etc.”
The
teaching that evening was about the “Prayer of Jabez.” During
the “Prayer Time”, that took place after the tremendous
teaching/preaching session, I asked the Lord for a number of things . .
. .
Please
know that there is no doubt that “GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS HIS
WONDERS TO PERFORM.” God spoke in the Old Testament Time to many
people. God spoke in the New Testament Time to many people.
The Lord prophesied that God would send a Comforter (the Holy Spirit) on
the Day of Pentecost (Acts,
Chapter Two), and
God, via Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, brings “Repentance,”
"Salvation," and ongoing gifts and/or talents to people that
are willing to say “GOD WORK IN WONDERFUL WAYS IN MY LIFE!”
The
Bible tells us about the prayer of Jabez, and I conclude this article
with the prayer from I
Chronicles 4:10 . . . .
"And
Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless
me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me,
and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!
And God granted him that which he requested.”
