THE
MOMENT
OF
HIS
HOLY
PRESENCE

The holidays for many of us prove to be happy times. Family
and/or friends gather for a festivity of renewed friendships, and
for the hospitality of enjoying the good food given by the host
and hostess. The Christmas Season is also a time of
nostalgia.
During
that beautiful season, we also may reflect upon the sacrifice that
God gave to mankind. The Christmas season may focus our
attention to Jesus having been born in the town of Bethlehem some
2000 years ago. During that time, the love of God was given
to mankind because He permitted Christ Jesus to walk this earth to
teach about the Heavenly Kingdom and, then, die for each and every
human being. After Jesus fulfilled His ministry while He
walked this earth, He died on Calvary’s cross so that each of us
may have the opportunity to accept the Salvation knowledge of God’s
Redemptive Plan [John 3:16]. About
2000 years ago, the presence of Jesus was seen by the shepherds
that watched the flocks on a hillside; and, then, via the angel’s
announcement, the shepherds went to the town of Bethlehem where
Christ was born [Luke Chapter 2].
The presence of Jesus is still evident today!
[November
22, 2004] A Christian woman recently attended a Sunday
evening service. This service was a combined evening service
as well as a prayer service. While she knelt, the following
Scripture Verses came to mind:
"The
LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie
down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still
waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the
paths of righteousness for His name’s sake."
[Psalm
23:1,2,3]
While
dwelling in the presence of the Lord during the prayer-time, she
thought of Jesus and herself walking in the green meadow and
seeing lilies of the valley. [Song
of Solomon 2:1] Indeed, Jesus
may walk with you in a green meadow that displays lilies of the
valley and, thus, bringing peace to a burdened heart.
This
Christmas, permit Jesus, that gives peace to troubled hearts, be a
Christmas Present that nothing in this world can offer. [Read

tells us that there is neither male nor female when we make
