THE
PRECIOUS NAME OF JESUS . . .
JOY
OF EARTH AND HOPE OF HEAVEN
The
families throughout the world are occupied with making a daily living;
namely, providing for the family, raising the children, and making a
lifestyle that is pleasant and/or is suitable for living.
At
times I wonder if God is shouting -- "I see your constant running,
and do not forget about Me (God)!"
Of
course God gets worship time on Sunday mornings...and such a tradition
is noble and very necessary. What about Mondays, Tuesdays, etc.?
As
a Christian writer I have the privilege of spending many hours writing
about subjects that God places upon my heart. Searching the
Scriptures from the Word of God is also of utmost importance to
me. Taking the time to feed the heart and soul is like Precious
Ointment that comes from the Throne of Heaven. The Spiritual
Blessings, therefore, cannot be compared with monetary gain.
However, I must remember that every area of my life needs the priorities
to be placed into the correct perspective.
One
of my priorities is my attitude toward the God that I serve. I
gladly claim the Scripture that states, "But
we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord,
are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the
Spirit of the Lord." (II Corinthians 3:18 KJV)
Many
years ago I was privileged to write the following Poem:
THE
BIRTH OF MY SAVIOUR
Written
by Johanna Hobrath

The
journey was long, the night was cool
They
needed to rest, they needed a room
No
opening in the inn could be found
No
empty room, no place in town.
The
time was desperate, the time was near
For
a baby to be born, a baby so dear
Once
more the man knocked, asking for a place
Where
they could settle, so they could rest.
No
lovely place could be found for the Son of God
No
lovely place, except the stable with dried sod.
And
so it was, the baby was born
And
laid in a manger with straw for adorn’
The
angel told shepherds that night long ago
That
the Babe in the Manger is Christ the Lord.
Dear
Jesus,
I
was not there to pay homage to Thee
But
I thank You that You came for me
Bless
friends and family near and far
And
may You be Our Guiding Star
Come
live in hearts of children, husbands, and wives
And
bring joy and peace throughout our lives.
(Reference:
Luke, Chapter Two)
My
heart rejoices today, because JESUS IS THE HOPE OF HEAVEN AND JOY OF
EARTH...HAVE A BLESSED CHRISTMAS SEASON!
