"BEING
GRATEFUL
ABOUT
CREATION,
ETC."

On
October 16, 2006, I viewed a portion of the "Evidence
Program" via the TBN television station. It was interesting
to hear an artist speak about his creative talent when painting scenic
pictures that display the beauty of the cascading waterfalls,
etc. The artist of those pictures delights to give away
thousands of paintings that he created with his artistic ability.
On
October 16, 2006, while turning the television off, the following,
wonderful thoughts came to me . . .
When
someone purchases a new home and finally places the belongings into
its proper places, the person will view the orderly home and
think: "I just love the way everything looks".
The same feeling may be had when updating or remodeling a present
home. Such a delightful expression of joy may also come from an
artist that paints beautiful pictures.
The
beginning paragraph of this Newsletter is entitled "Being
Grateful About Creation, Etc." I
am also reminded of the Biblical
Creation Story
that is found in the Book
of Genesis as well as other references from the Holy Word of
God.
While I
was dwelling upon the creation story, suddenly the creation story
became so very real to me. You see, Genesis
1:31
tells us: "And
God saw everything
that he
had made, and, behold, it was very good. Etc." The
Bible tells me in Genesis
1:31 that
the heart
of God [God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit]
delighted in what was created.
This
coming Thanksgiving [2006], many homemakers will be delighted when
cooking turkeys and, perhaps, say about a decorated table, "this
all looks great!"
On
this Thanksgiving Day do remember that God created turkeys so that we
may benefit from such creations. Being thankful may be a daily
process; however, during Thanksgiving 2006 we may especially reflect
upon the bountiful blessings of the past year.
