"WHAT
IS
LIFE?"

The
Bible tells us that God created mankind [Genesis 1:26)]. God
breathed a soul into one’s life at the time of conception. Also,
every human, that is living, was permitted to come into this world;
however, when the person becomes of the reckoning age, he or she may
choose the place of one’s eternal choice [John 3:16]. Eternity

It
was in the morning on October 18, 2007 when I decided to turn on the
television and view a family film. The information about the film
indicated that the story was produced in the year 1984. The
October Halo Ministries’ Newsletter may seem as though "it is all
about me". The answer: "not so".
The
film that I saw on 9-18-2007 is entitled "Heartsounds".
The family film portrays a middle-aged couple. The husband is a
doctor, and the wife works for a woman’s magazine. During the
doctor’s vocation, he suddenly develops a health issue with his
heart. The story is extremely interesting and shares many segments
of the doctor’s struggle with his heart problem and his own knowledge
as a doctor during the episodes of his illness. Also, Mary Tyler
Moore portrays the loving and supportive wife. The doctor’s wife’s
personal struggles is portrayed while she lives with her husband’s
health problem. Although the film made no reference to prayer and
eternity, at one point Mary Tyler Moore and another woman spoke in the
waiting room of a hospital, and they encouraged each other by saying
"don’t loose hope".
Johanna’s
Comments: I believe the film is a "classic film".
While the story progressed my thoughts focused upon the films
shown during the 1980 era, as compared to the present films that are
coming on the market. If more family-type films were being
presented, this would definitely have an influence upon families’
lifestyles. We do live in a changing world.

gives us choices to speak
in
regards to what we say, what we do,
how we react to
what brings anger to us, etc. Also, God understands our
weaknesses;
however, may your and my day-to-day living
be in the
likeness of the Great Mentor,
Jesus Christ the Saviour and Lord!
The
Bible
tells me: "For with thee is the fountain of life:
in thy light shall we see light. O continue thy lovingkindness
unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright
in heart."

On
August 31, 2007, I had the opportunity to click into the
"TIME" Website.
The
website featured a very interesting article entitled "Reconciling
God and Science". The article spoke about Francis Collins who
is a scientist. His photo is displayed on the "TIME"
Website as he appeared in the National Cathedral in Washington,
D.C. The article, that is featured on the "TIME"
Website, gives a lengthy account of Collins’ belief. The article
stated about Collins: "
. . . although he does not believe God is rationally provable, he thinks
that natural phenomena--such as the development of conditions favoring
life on earth in the face of incredible odds--point toward the

Johanna’s
comments: The search for "the Divine" has been and will
be a continuous subject throughout the journey of mankind. The "Path of Righteousness" through
Jesus Christ the Lord is available to every human being that desires to
accept "the Grace of God"
