"RELATIONSHIP
WITH
GOD"

In
the early morning hours of September 5, 2005 I had good intentions
to begin my day with accomplishing many planned endeavors.
However, I took time to drink coffee while listening to brief
segments of the current news and a segment of the Christian TV
Program. While viewing and listening briefly to the “Winning
in Life” Program, my heart was lifted in praise to the God of the
universe. Why? I saw a group of singers singing praises from
the heart and people lifting their hands as they worshipped
God. This program, I believe, was presented from Sidney,
Australia.
Although
I planned to accomplish many tasks for the day of September 5th, I,
however, decided to type the article for the October 2005 Halo
Newsletter.
You
may ask, "How may a person’s heart and soul be lifted up to
praising the God that created the heavens and the earth?"
Such a question is impossible to answer in a short article.
However, I have and do praise the wonderful God that permitted me to
accept the Saving Grace that is given to the world via Jesus Christ
and the tucking of one’s heart by the Holy Spirit. You may
agree or disagree; however, the BIBLE is TRUTH and the Bible tells
me "the truth shall set you free". Freedom from
bondages of sin is desperately needed in a world of chaos.
The
news of today shares about the hearts of people that reach out with
compassion to those that are hurting because of war, famine, and
distress. A compassionate outreach to others will help
alleviate the problems caused by distressing circumstances.
However, a total peace with God is only possible through the
acceptance of permitting Christ into your heart and life.
The
"Relationship with God" will grow after you or I accept
the redemptive work that was accomplished on the cross of Calvary
through Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world. I cannot
visualize a life without Jesus; therefore, like the people on the
stage in Australia, my heart and soul is lifted up in praise to the
Heavenly Father because it is He through Christ that has sustained
me in my journey thus far. And it is God that will continue to
sustain me, if Jesus tarries, in the days, weeks, months, and years
to come [I
Thessalonians 4:16-18].
The
beauty of the "Relationship with God" is available to
every person that desires to have a closer communion with God whose
Throne is in Heaven and whose footstool is on the earth [Isaiah
66:1,2].

This awesome article, written by Marilyn, a former atheist, outlines
six reasons to consider the Existence of God. Do take time to
read this powerful article that not only gives credibility from the
Holy Scriptures, but, also, gives credence that the world was
created by our wonderful God.
