THE
JOURNEY OF A CHRISTIAN
The
word “Christian” makes reference to the name of “Christ.”
Who is Christ? What has He done for you? What will He do for you?
Those foregoing questions have been answered by many “Theologians”,
“Evangelists”, “Pastors”, “Bible Teachers” and other earnest
Christians.
When
I think of Christ, I think of the Heavenly Shepherd that has left the “Splendor
of Glory” almost 2000 years ago. Have you ever wondered what type
of meeting took place in Heaven when it was decided and agreed upon that
Jesus was to be born in the town of Bethlehem?
What
was His purpose in coming to a world that needed a Saviour? We know from
Scripture that Jesus came and was born in a lowly stable. This, of
course, was prophesied by the Old Testament Prophets. (Micah
5:2)
This
first Halo Newsletter via the e-mail program does not amply describe what
Christ has done for me. However, Jesus is my Saviour, and made me
part-heir of Heaven (Galatians
4:1-7). Jesus is my Redeemer
that has paid the price for the sins of the world on the cross of Calvary
(John 3:16). Jesus is the
Greatest Intercessor for the believer (I
John 1:1,2). Jesus will return
for the believers (Rev. 1:7).
Jesus is the Heavenly Bridegroom, because I and you, as believers, may
partake of the Heavenly Wedding Celebration that is to come (Rev.
19:6-10).
What
will Jesus do for me or you? The Bible tells us that “ . . . the
Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us . . . .” (John
1:14) And the Precious Word of
God continues to give Precious Promises that can keep the Christian on the
journey that leads to Heaven. Aren’t you glad that “HIS
SUSTAINING LOVE” WAS, IS, and IS TO COME! (Hebrews
13:8
