"WHAT
IS ENDURANCE?"

My
dictionary defines endurance "being the capacity of bearing up,
as under hardship or prolonged stress."
Have
you endured because of prolonged stress? There are, of course,
situations that require endurance and hope so that the prolonged
situation will eventually change or be resolved.
On
Wednesday, July 6, 2005, the city of London had a joyful
occurrence. That day, the city of London was jubulant because
of winning the 2012 Olympics. The next morning, July 7, 2005,
however, that joy was overshadowed by a horrendous explosion that
tore through a subway train 100 yards into the tunnel at the
Liverpool Station.
When
speaking about endurance, the people in London, England, are coping
to endure the tragedies from the explosions.
People
all over the world are enduring on a day-to-day basis from the
tragedies that come into their lives.
Human
nature cries out for peace. The inner peace of the heart is,
of course, dependent upon the circumstances that occur in life and
the condition of one's spiritual status. [John
14:27]
To some it seems they live in a circle of perfect living; and others
may be facing situations that require the challenge of daily
endurance.
The
Bible tells us that we may face tribulations [John
16:33].
At times, as previously stated, Jesus can help to face the problems
in daily living [John
16:33].
During
the war years and during their prayer times, my parents cried to God
for strength, endurance, and changes in their circumstances. I
am of the firm belief that it is a miracle that I live in the United
States of America.
Are
you enduring in your day-to-day living? James
1:12,13 states:

 "Blessed
is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is
tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the LORD
hath promised to them that love him. Let no man say
when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God
cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any
man:"

A
Prayer Poem is entitled "A PRAYER FOR TODAY!". The

LORD,
as I review my life today
I
pray that You pour ointment into the wound of my soul.
Heal
the hurts of circumstances that I cannot alter.
Allow
Thy Divine Unction to saturate every area of my life. May my
existence bring glory to
Thy
Holy Name, Lord JESUS,
and
may the path I trod give
fragrance of
Heavenly
Assurance to
those that walk through my life.
With
gratitude and praise I lift my heart to the ALL-KNOWING,
ALL-POWERFUL, ALL-OMNIPRESENT GOD that reigns from the Portals of
Heaven
and
whose Footstool is His Earthly Domain!

66:1)
