In
the beginning of July, my thoughts focused upon the question, “What
will I write for the month of August?” The title “WHAT
PATTERN ARE YOU
WEAVING?” was
placed upon my heart on July 9, 2003.
[July
18, 2003] The marketplace has many beautiful tapestry that
display floral designs, scenic designs, designs of cities, etc.
If
my life or your life were to display a design, what type of display
would that be?
Today,
July 18, 2003, I opened the Bible at random, and my eyes focused upon
a dotted Scripture Verse that reads:
“But
the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the
height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD
seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but
the LORD looketh on the heart.” [I Samuel 16:7]
Here
we see that Samuel was in the process of choosing a king for
Israel. Jesse made his sons to present themselves before
Samuel. When Samuel saw David, the Lord spoke to him, “...And
the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.” [I Samuel
16:12] Samuel then anointed David. [I Samuel 16:13]
God
looks upon my heart; and, God looks upon your heart. Throughout
the past and/or present times, you may have expected support,
understanding, and comfort in times of negative happenings. I
realize that during those circumstances, my heart is renewed when
dwelling in the presence of God through prayer. I do thank God
for His goodness in my daily life. I also continue to trust Him
with whatever path is ahead for me, realizing that God sees, hears,
and knows my thoughts, actions, and the innermost workings of my
heart.
What
tapestry am I weaving unto God? May it be a life that brings
glory and honour to His Name and to His Kingdom! A Scripture
Verse reads as follows:
