"WHAT
DOES THE
FUTURE
HOLD?
Written
by Johanna Hobrath
A
writer will receive ideas from many sources. A couple months
ago, my thoughts focused upon "What Does The Future Hold?"
Do
you know that God in heaven knows the total picture of the future
for all mankind? It was in the garden of Eden that God made
provisions for mankind to live in peace and to freely enjoy the
abundance of paradise that He so gloriously provided for the first
couple, namely Adam and Eve. [Genesis,
Chapter 2]
I
believe that a married couple may have a paradise-like existence if
and when abiding in the precepts of the Word of God. Several
years ago, a Scripture Verse spoke profoundly to my heart. The
Verse is located in Genesis 1:26.
It is God in Three Persons that agreed
to establish the existence of the world and mankind.
What
does the future hold? The seasons of the year are: Spring,
Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Scripture tells us that the sun
and rain comes upon all mankind. This Scripture Verse is
stated in Matthew 5:45, and
reads as follows:
"...for
he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth
rain on the just and on the unjust."
At
the end of this civilization on earth, the Bible tells us about the
outcome of the winner. [Book of
Revelation]
Needless
to say, "Faith in the Living God" remains the ultimate
belief because . . .
"For
we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved,
we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in
the heavens"
II
Corinthians 5:1

Several
years ago, my husband and I drove to Akron, Ohio. The day was
beautiful during that autumn season because the sun was shining and
the trees had turned many shades of color. While thinking about the
four seasons on that day, I then wrote a poem that made a comparison
to the seasons of life. The poem is entitled: "THE
FOUR SEASONS". . .
*
THE
FOUR
SEASONS
We
drove along a winding road
In
autumn’s beauty bright
The
sun so warm and in its splendor
Was
bathing the country side.
The
colors were so lovely
In
hues of brown and gold
And
the leaves were slowly tumbling
To
the earth that God doth hold.
Spring
in its luscious beauty
Can
compare to a life
Like
a new baby when it is born
On
an early spring morn’.
The
summer is like people
That
have in their middle years
Experienced
many wonders
That
Jesus is surely their King.
The
autumn can speak of years
That
people have trod
And
their golden years can be useful
When
God is their King above.
The
winter speaks of a coldness
When
life has drifted away
And
saints have gone to Heaven
And
are clothed with robes
As
white as the winter’s day.
And
so our lives are like the four seasons
They
come and then are gone
The
only question that remains
What
are you doing with the life that God gave?
Lord,
I don’t mean to chide with You
But
can this vessel be filled
With
love to overflowing That will reach to others
Until
...
You
will say my life’s journey is ended
The
winter has come for you
And
the white robe in Heaven is waiting for you!

For
many years now, my zeal for the religious writing ministry has
brought about the HALO
MINISTRIES.
The HALO
MINISTRIES
is presently an internet ministry. Without being flamboyant, I
am grateful to be working for this worthwhile internet
ministry. May I state that "the
Halo Ministries is a worldwide ministry, and the pulpit is located
via http://www.haloministries.net."
Dear
Reader . . . .
May
you be blessed as you read and/or review
the
additional website pages that glorify God.

The
July 2006 Newsletter makes reference to the garden of Eden. A
website article is entitled "In
The Garden of
Eden"
and may be accessed via http://www.haloministries.net/GardenofEden.htm.

Poetry
has been written throughout all ages. I believe that
"Poetry" expresses the thoughts of the heart. I came
across a poem entitled "You
Ask Why I Follow This
Jesus?".
Please take time to click into http://wandascountryhome.com/follow/.
Not
only does this poem express a heartfelt writing, but the writer of
this poem expresses the question "Why
Does Jesus Love Me?".

The
internet is a wonderful tool; however, when selecting websites
and/or articles that are readily made available, the
internet is then to be surfed with caution and discernment.
