Time has a way to travel on in people’s lives.  Here it is …July 2008!  The summer weather is oftentimes very hot in Ohio.  Generally, the summer months makes people take a look at outdoor activities.  As a reader for this July 2008 Halo Ministries’ Newsletter, most likely you, too, are having a busy summer this year; however, it is important to continue to focus our daily lives toward "the things of God".

The July 2008 Halo Ministries' Newsletter is sharing a poem that speaks much about the Bible.  God’s Word can speak to us in every-day living.  May this July 2008 Newsletter also encourage you to continue reading from God’s Holy Word.  The poem is entitled "When I Study God’s Word", and reads as follows:

WHEN I STUDY GOD’S WORD

When I study God’s Word 

He shows me many things 

The path that I must follow 

The life that I must live.

Although I stand on God’s Promise 

That He is my Rock, my Shield 

We do experience disappointments 

That are not always according to God’s perfect will.

In times of trials and afflictions 

God is my Tower, where I can find 

A solid, sure foundation 

When the storms are raging in my life.

For Jesus is the Captain 

Of the ship that at times is tossed at sea 

And with Him I keep on sailing 

To Heaven’s Eternity.
