THE
COST
OF
PURE
GOLD

Have
you ever seen luxurious dwellings that speak of riches that you or I
may never enjoy? I have seen shows, from the television
screen, that displayed mansions with their beautiful gardens and
immaculate lawns. Do I envy the people that own such
mansions? Of course not; however, I wonder what it would be
like to live in such luxury.
Did
you know that some day I shall own a dwelling place of a different
proportion? [John
14:1-4] My Bible tells
me that I will walk the "Streets
of Gold" [Revelation, Chapter 21]. Dear
Reader - THAT IS BEING RICH!!! While typing this article, I
realize that the "Richest Person is God Almighty."
Why? God owns the cattle on a thousand hills [Psalm
50:10]. That makes great
sense because, after all, God created the world [Genesis,
Chapter One]!
I
or you may some day dwell in an unspeakable mansion; and, such a
dwelling place will some day be yours or mine if and when we follow
the simple mandate of accepting God’s Holy Son into one’s heart

God
paid a great price for allowing Jesus to come to a world that
accepted or rejected Him some two thousand years ago. Is it
any different today? The Son of God, Jesus Christ the Redeemer
and Soon-Coming King [I
Thessalonians 4:16-18], is
also being accepted or rejected in today's society.
I
dare not wait for accepting Christ as Saviour until I reach the
after-life! Why? Because that choice beyond this earth
cannot be undone. The foregoing statement may sound stern;
however, accepting Christ as Saviour in this life is a very simple
choice.
"The
Cost of Pure Gold" can be compared to many areas of life.
The upcoming month of July talks about freedom. The
"Cost of Freedom" may be compared to the precious lives
that soldiers give for a country.
"The
Cost of Pure Gold" can also be compared to the devotion of the
precious mothers that daily pray and hover over their young
children.
"The
Cost of Pure Gold" can be compared to the devotion of the
precious fathers that daily provide for their families.
"The
Cost of Pure Gold" can be compared to the lives of people that
serve righteously in the many areas of government.
In
summary, "The Cost of Pure Gold" is a life that is devoted
to the cause of Christ. How? God is pleased when living
a righteous life in every area of one’s daily living. When I
reach Heaven, will I receive a pure bar of gold? I will walk
the Streets of Gold! Most of all, I want to hear My Master say
that I have been faithful to what He has given to me [Matthew
25:21].
