On May 14, 2003 I viewed a true, dramatic story from a television station. The story portrayed a large number of women that were held captive during World War II.

As the story unfolds, scenes of their survival are portrayed. One courageous person among the women group decided to comprise a choral group whereby they composed beautiful, humming melodies. During their captivity, the women group had the opportunity to present recitals to their captors.

Their confinement spoke of sad circumstances. After World War II many of the women did survive their deplorable captivity.

When the story was completed, I whispered a prayer from my heart and said: “Lord, there is much pain in this world.” The answer: “I have chosen vessels to stand in the gap for people that are suffering.”

May I ask you a question? Have you prayed for the world today?

God uses many vessels. And, who are those vessels?

	People like You and I . . .
	Moms and Dads and their Families . . .
	Aunts, Uncles, Brothers, Sisters, Nieces, Nephews . . .
	The President of the U.S.A. . . .
	The Congress of the U.S.A. . . .
	The Governors of the U.S.A. . . .
	The Mayors of the U.S.A. . . .
	The Principals & Teachers of the U.S.A. . . .
	The Doctors & Nurses of the U.S.A. . . .
	The Missionaries throughout the World . . .
	Etc. . . .

On May 15, 2003, I briefly listened to the “Good Morning America” Show. That morning, I heard Robin Roberts express gratitude because ABC published, onto their website, the beautiful Prayer/Poem that her mother taught her. Robin prays the prayer each morning. Upon requesting that the ABC Audience Relations send the URL address of the prayer to me, they were gracious to send the following prayer:

The light of God surrounds me.
The love of God enfolds me.
The power of God protects me.
The presence of God watches over me.
Wherever I am, God is.

A PRAISE REPORT!

[May 25, 2003]

Several weeks ago, I sat in another church pew. That morning, Nora sat in front of the church pew where I had been sitting. When I asked Nora how she is doing, she replied that her father is dying. I expressed empathy; and, then, I asked if her father is saved. For many years, Nora and her family prayed for the salvation of her father. At the moment of my inquiry, her father was not a born-again believer. Nora asked that I also pray for her father.

This morning [May 25, 2003], I again had an opportunity to speak to Nora. She told me that her father passed away the day before, and that he had become a Christian. The day prior to his passing away, Nora’s father became a believer. The day he died, he was at peace with His Maker and said, “Now I can die.” I hugged Nora for joy and stated, “I rejoice with you because some day you will see your father again!”
