THE
OTHER SIDE OF HEAVEN
[June
2002] People like to read about happenings that bring joy to the
heart of the listener and/or the reader. Of course a happy movie is
also uplifting. However, how many happy movies are shown in the
theaters and/or are televised via the television screen? The news
also tells much about the conflict of mankind. Life or death is a
part of the culture in society today.
When
a Christian leaves this earth, there is certainly sadness; and, yet, there
is hope and joy in knowing that a loved one will again be seen in the
Glorious Home called Heaven.
The
following Biblical Brochure #01-01-21, entitled "THE
RIGHT SIDE OF HEAVEN," shares
a profound Home-Going service that focuses upon Eternity:

"THE
RIGHT SIDE OF HEAVEN"
[Biblical
Brochure #01-01-21, October 22, 1997]
October
21, 1997 was a beautiful, sunny day. That morning, I was driving to
Cleveland, Ohio. I stopped the car in the front entrance of a senior
citizen center. My mother walked through the front door and, then,
she entered the car. We were soon on our way to a church where the
Going-Home service of a distant relative was to take place.
As
we entered the church, we saw an open casket. The casket contained
the body of the departed Christian that is now rejoicing with Jesus and
the many other Christians that have gone to their Eternal Home.
The
Going-Home service was beautiful. The pastor brought a profound
message. A segment of the sermon touched my heart. The summary
of the story was as follows:
*
* * One evening, a father took the hand of his daughter and they walked to
the outdoors. The father and the daughter gazed at the darkened
sky. The sky contained many sparkling stars. With great
astonishment the child stated ... Daddy, if that is the wrong side of
heaven, the right side of Heaven must be beautiful! * * *
