What
is the significance of Easter? I have celebrated the
beautiful Easter
holiday for many years. I must admit that I enjoy the colorful
array of Easter eggs nestling with chocolate bunnies in baskets with
green plastic grass.
Needless
to say, it was God’s Will some 2000 years ago for Christ Jesus to
be born in the town of Bethlehem, growing up in the town of
Nazareth, ministering to the people at the age of 30, and dying at
the age of 33 on a cruel cross. The true story does not end
here . . .
The
morning came [Matthew,
Chapter 28]
when the women desired to go to the tomb where Jesus was
placed. Please read Chapter
28 of the book of
Matthew
and discover that Christ had risen! Hallelujah!
Our
Great God through Jesus Christ - and because of His Great Love for
the world - had a great plan to provide for mankind to live
eternally with Him. Christ arose on the Resurrection Day and
now Jesus is alive! Matthew
28:20 tells us: ". . . I am with you alway, even unto the end
of the world. Amen."
Several
years ago, a poem entitled
"THE TOMB IS EMPTY NOW",
via the combined section of "MELODIOUS
EXPRESSIONS OF THE HEART
AND
SOUL",
was mailed to the Copyright Office in Washington, D.C. Because
this poem is appropriate for the Easter Season, I trust it will also
bless your heart:
THE
TOMB
IS
EMPTY
NOW

The
Tomb is empty now
Where Christ once lay
His body bruised
A symbol of great woe and pain.
The
Tomb is empty now
It could not hold
My Master Lord, who died for me
So I could be purchased and set free.
The
Tomb is empty now
Oh death where is your sting
Oh grave where is your victory
My Master lives and I can sing.
The
Tomb is empty now
Oh glory to the King
He rules and reigns in hearts and lives
And makes my days like clear-blue skies.
The
Tomb is empty now
And I can gaze at cloud-covered skies
For Jesus will return
Some day, some day, Oh Precious Bride!
