EASTER 2008
~
Written

Hobrath
On
Monday morning, February 4, 2008, I and my husband sat in a room that
had numerous chairs. The room was filled with a large group of people.
While sitting in the room, I surveyed a casket from a distance. It has
been said: "death is also part of life." No one enjoys seeing a
loved one pass from this world.
As
I sat in the parlor on February 4th, from a distance I viewed the casket
of a departed Christian. The person that I speak about was a dear
Christian that, for many years, attended the same church where I and my
husband worship on a weekly basis. The person in the casket was also an
elderly gentleman, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a dear
friend to many people. The departed loved one had been a soldier in the
United States military service. The United States flag was folded in
such a way so that one could see the corner of the navy blue cloth with
the white stars. The commemoration service of this loved one was
beautiful. Many good things were told about this departed saint; and he
is now enjoying a re-union with his wife in heaven; and, most of all,
with the beloved Saviour of all mankind. (Mark
12:25)
In
March 2008, we focus upon the upcoming holiday; namely, Easter
2008. March
23, 2008 will once again be a holiday that reminds us of the
resurrection of our dear Saviour. Easter is a celebration of life.
Jesus
arose from the tomb, thus reminding us that He is very much alive.
And,
certainly, anyone that passes from this earth is also alive in the
eternity of one’s choice. The first paragraph of this newsletter
speaks about a Christian that has left this world. The gentleman served
as a fine example of Christianity; and, undoubtedly, he is enjoying his
life in heaven.
Several
days ago, January/February of 2008, I was reminded of the life of Jesus
when He walked this earth. Just realize, Jesus did not have an office,
He did not have a typewriter, He did not have a computer, and He did not
have a television. Indeed, humanity is blessed with the technological
marvels that is happening all around us. And, yet, the life of Jesus
on earth -
33 years in all - made such a profound impact during the past thousands
of years because He walked this earth and gave His life so that mankind
may some day walk with Him and those persons that have gone into the
Glorious Eternity.
When the trials of life make us
focus upon the valley situations, we may then focus upon the grandeur of
Christ’s sacrifice that permits us to look toward the Glorious
Eternity where
God will wipe away all
tears . . . Johanna

May your Easter 2008 be a reminder of the
great sacrifice that Christ made for us. Jesus had risen and
continues to live in hearts and lives of people that accept His Grace

For
many years now, my zeal for the religious writing ministry has brought
about the HALO MINISTRIES. The HALO MINISTRIES

grateful to be working for this worthwhile internet ministry. May
I state that "the Halo Ministries is a worldwide ministry, and the
pulpit is located via http://www.haloministries.net."

the internet is then to be
