THE
FREE WILL

If
you or I were to go to a Christian Book Store or a Secular Book
Store, undoubtedly I or you will find book titles that deal with
subjects such as: "The Holy Bible," “The Existence of
Man,” “The Will of Mankind,” “The Purpose-Driven Life,”
etc.
During
the summer of 2003, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law
came to visit this
household for a few days. We had a great time of fellowship
and dining at home and/or in restaurants. During one of the
conversations, my brother-in-law told us that his daughter sent a
power-packed Christian book to him because of Father‘s Day
2003. The book is entitled “THE
PURPOSE-DRIVEN
LIFE (What on Earth am I here for?)" and is written by
Rev. Rick Warren.
("Rev.
Rick Warren is the founding pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake
Forest, California. His previous
book "THE
PURPOSE-DRIVEN CHURCH” has
sold over a million copies in 20 languages.")
I
am so glad that God has a purpose for each heart that is willing to
draw closer to His Heart.

Since February 21, of this year, I am participating in a 40-Day
study that encompasses the material from the "THE
PURPOSE-DRIVEN LIFE".
The study is being conducted in various homes
and is featured via the church that I and my husband attend.
Any time we take time to study and interact with other like-minded
(or different-minded) people, we receive a variety of input and
thoughts to further one’s Christian living.
When
God created the Bible Adam, He said in Genesis
1:26 . . . “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our
likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and
over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the
earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
The previous Scripture definitely
describes the intent of the Holy Trinity [
“...Let us
....” Genesis 1:26]. Also, the
foregoing Scripture reminds us that God gave mankind a free will;
thus permitting mankind to rule the earth not only during the time
of the Bible Adam, but, also, to this day and age.
Scripture
also tells us to pray for those in authority. [I
Timothy 2:1,2]
Although I may not agree with
everything that is being ruled by authority; I, however, pray that
God give wisdom that authority rule with Godly Discernment.
Indeed,
you or I have a free will to live a life that is pleasing to God and
is a good example to the people around us. I believe that “The
Purpose-Driven Life” is a life that is lived in the freedom that
God has intended for mankind. This “Godly Freedom” can be
utilized so that one’s life is pleasing to the Creator that
created you and me.
What
is the requirement for your or my free will?
The
Scripture Verse in Micah 6:8
summarizes God’s Desire for your or for my life:

"He
hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the
LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly
with
thy God?” [MICAH 6:8]
