"THE
CRYING
HEARTS
OF
THE
WORLD"
Written
by Johanna Hobrath
It
was in the month of November 2007, I was driving to the stores for the
purpose of accomplishing the purchasing of a few items. During
that time, my heart and emotions focused upon the fact that we are
living in America and that the standard of living in this country is
still better than some other countries.
What
about the people whose living standards are such that clothing and food
are daily necessary challenges? My heart on that day was focused
upon the poor and needy people. I then recalled that, as an early
teenager, bread and water was the provision that I, my brothers and
sisters received for many days. At that time, my parents, I am
certain, reflected upon the days that were looming ahead; and they
wondered about what was in store for them.
Dear
Reader: The February 2008 Halo Ministries’ Newsletter may not be
the usual Newsletter. I write whatever topics are placed upon my
heart. People can do much to help some of the pain and suffering
of others. Above all, God gives "Sustaining Love" at all
times--whether in good times and/or sad times.
In
the month of February 2008, we once again will be reminded of Valentine’s
Day; and, the giver that bestows a "gift of love" to the
recipient.
Many
churches and other organizations also bestow "gifts of love"
to people that are in need and/or are homeless. Perhaps your
church also has programs that reaches out to people needing help.
Scripture
tells me in Isaiah
58:10,11: "And
if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul;
then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the
noonday. And
the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought,
and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and
like a spring of water, whose waters fail not."
There
are many credible organizations that help people that are in difficult
circumstances. A few of those organizations are:
*
The
American Red Cross Organization - http://www.redcross.org/where/chapts.asp
*
Samaritan’s
Purse - Franklin Graham, Founder - http://www.samaritanspurse.org
*
World
Vision - World Vision Organization - http://meero.worldvision.org/
*
St. Jude’s
Children’s Research Center - http://www.stjude.org
Not
everyone throughout the world may be helped; however, "if you
can do good to the people that require help, God, in turn, sees your
willingness to reach out to those that are in need."

For
many years now, my zeal for the religious writing ministry has brought
about the HALO MINISTRIES. The HALO MINISTRIES
is presently an internet ministry. Without being flamboyant, I am
grateful to be working for this worthwhile internet ministry. May
I state that "the Halo Ministries is a worldwide ministry, and the
pulpit is located via http://www.haloministries.net."

articles that are readily made available,
the internet is then to be
surfed with caution and discernment.
