WHAT
TO
DO
IN
THE
MIDST
OF
ADVERSITY!
Written
by Johanna Hobrath
It
was in the month of December (2006) when I dwelled on a question of why
adversities come into our lives. Personally, I have faced
adversities in my years of walking and communing with my God. It
seems that people pray more when faced with problems in their
lives. If the coming months in 2007 bring positive and/or negative
circumstances, may our prayers go to the throne of heaven. It is
God that sits on the throne [Hebrew
4:16] and
He sees and hears our petitions
[Jeremiah 33:3].
The
following poem, written by an unknown author, speaks greatly about "GOD
ANSWERS PRAYERS".
GOD
ANSWERS
PRAYER
Written by an Anonymous Writer

I
know not by what method rare,
But this I know, God answers prayer.
I know that He has given His word,
Which tells me prayer is always heard,
And will be answered, soon or late;
And so I pray, and calmly wait.
I
know not if the blessing sought
Will come in just the way I thought,
But leave my prayers with Him alone,
Whose will is wiser than my own.
Assured that He will grant my quest,
Or send some answer far more blest.
In
the month of February, we are also reminded that the 14th of that month
is specified as
"Valentine’s Day".
Some people will fondly remember loved ones that are living and, also,
loved ones that no longer are walking upon this earth.
During the month of December, a dear lady [relative to my sister and her
husband], sent a write-up that speaks profoundly about "The
Pearls Of Memory".
This dear lady had a son that passed away while he was married for a few
years. The article, that was sent to me, reads as follows:
THE
PEARLS OF MEMORY
Written by an Anonymous Writer
What
did you leave when you went from me?
You left me the pearls of memory -- strung on
The thread of the golden years -- of love and
laughter, of joys and tears.
Pearls of more worth than the jewelers sell --
My life they enrich and my grief dispel … No
One can steal them or tear apart -- these pearls
That are hidden within my heart.
Beautiful pearls on a golden string -- Fondly
I keep them -- remembering -- Lonely or lost
I could never be -- counting my pearls of memory.

For
many years now, my zeal for the religious writing ministry has brought
about the HALO
MINISTRIES. The HALO
MINISTRIES
is presently an internet ministry. Without being flamboyant, I am
grateful to be working for this worthwhile internet ministry. May
I state that "the
Halo Ministries is a worldwide ministry, and the pulpit is located via http://www.haloministries.net."
