"FAITH,
HOPE, AND
LOVE"
Written
by Johanna Hobrath
On
January 23 (2006), while ironing a bunch of clothing, my thoughts
focused upon the upcoming newsletter for the month of February 2006.
The month
of February brings us to a holiday that is entitled "Valentine’s
Day." On that day, loved ones are showered with gifts and
candy. It is a thoughtful day that shows affection and caring
toward a person that is loved.
The
Bible also speaks about "love". However, there are
many so-called "loves". The "love" that I
am writing about is centered around the fact that among
"faith", "hope" and "love", the
greatest we are told from Scripture is "love".
We
find within the Thirteenth Chapter of I Corinthians (KJV) the
following:

LOVE
suffereth long
LOVE
is kind
LOVE
envieth not
LOVE
vaunteth not itself
LOVE
is not puffed up
LOVE
doth not behave itself unseemly
LOVE
seeketh not her own
LOVE
is not easily provoked
LOVE
thinketh no evil
LOVE
rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth
LOVE
beareth all things
LOVE
hopeth all things
LOVE
endureth all things
LOVE
never faileth
Now
abideth faith, hope, love, these three,
but
the greatest of these is LOVE!

While
reviewing the above "LOVE" write-up, do I apply that
write-up to my own life? I must admit that, at times, it
is not always possible to apply Christian love within certain
situations.
I
believe that prayer brings us into an atmosphere where God through
His Spirit can speak to our hearts, especially when circumstances
arise that may not be pleasing to us. God made us in "His
Likeness"; however, oftentimes it is through dwelling upon the
Word of God (the Bible) and prayer that helps any individual, if
they so desire, to allow Christ to become "the Mentor"
within the frame of everyday living, and, therefore, obtain "peace
that passeth all understanding." ( Philippians 4:7)
Until
Next Time - Regards, Johanna

For
many years now, my zeal for the religious writing ministry has
brought about the HALO
MINISTRIES.
The HALO
MINISTRIES
is presently an internet ministry. Without being flamboyant ,
I am grateful to be working for this worthwhile internet
ministry. May I state that "the
Halo Ministries is a worldwide ministry, and the pulpit is located
via http://www.haloministries.net."

Dear
Reader:
May you be blessed as you read and/or review the additional website
pages that glorify God.

The
"Positive Thoughts" website has many thought-provoking web
pages. The following web page address was sent via the email
program and is a good web page that gives spiritual input. The
web page may be accessed via http://www.positivethoughts.com/p75.htm.

The
Halo Ministries' Guestbook may be accessed via http://www.haloministries.net/Guestbook.htm.
Your comments are appreciated.

The
internet is a wonderful tool; however, when selecting websites
and/or articles that are readily made available,
the internet is then to be
surfed with caution and discernment.
