Several
years ago, a lady friend told me, in essence, that her Bible is all that
she needs for her spirituality.
Certainly,
the Holy Scripture is the guideline for daily living. The Precious Word
of God is the Source
and Foundation that guides and keeps you and me on the path that leads to
Heaven.
However,
we must remember that none of us are an island to ourselves. Our
daily living brings us into contact with family, co-workers, relatives,
etc. We learn and grow in our Christian walk with God through the
many directions in life. Another individual may give you Godly
directions and, thus, you have the choice of accepting or rejecting such
guidance.
In
these End Time Years, I am becoming more and more concerned about the
worldly influences that try to destroy the purity and submissiveness of
Godly virtues. Young people are vulnerable to influences from a
variety of sources; thereby allowing Satan to entice them into his realm
of living.
It
is essential that a daily Bible reading and praying surround each of us;
and, such Godly virtues will keep us from the influence of the enemy of
the soul.
It
is no wonder that the heart of Jesus prayed ... They
are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them
through thy truth: thy word is truth. Neither pray I for these
alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
John 17:16,17,20, KJV
Yes,
we need the Holy Scripture in this day and age--more so now than ever
before! The Bible states:
But the manifestation
of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. Etc. -- I
Corinthians 12:7-14
BIBLE
READING, PRAYING, AND GODLY INFLUENCES FROM OTHER PEOPLE, are sources that
God uses to empower the truly, sincere person. Such Godly virtues
bring honour to His Glorious Kingdom and FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!
