"WHAT
DOES
A POTTERY
MAKER
DO?"

The
above title for the January 2008 Newsletter does not seem to have a
correct title; however, please read on and you will discover an in-depth
truth that the Word of God does convey.
Jesus
conveyed many truths from the every-day era. Ministers of the
Gospel also convey truths from today’s happenings. Lamentation
4:2 refers
to earthen vessels. Vessels come in various shapes and
sizes. There is a chorus (song) that states: "You
are the Potter, I am the clay. Melt me and mold me ‘tis I
pray. Melt me and mold me after Thy will, while I am waiting,
yielded and still."
The
foregoing song gives a very humble, yielded attitude toward the God of
the universe; namely, the Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ, the
Saviour for all mankind.

A pottery maker shapes vessels that are unique in design. In
the year 2008, may the 
Heavenly Potter continue to shape our day-to-day
living, so that we may be vessels for His Honour.

A
prayer/poem was written many years ago [1989]. The poem is included in
the compilations entitled ©
"MELODIOUS EXPRESSIONS OF THE HEART AND SOUL."
That poem resonates a spiritual desire so that the kindness that is
needed in one's life will reach others with the the love that comes from
God.. The
poem is entitled "SEASON
OUR LIVES WITH KINDNESS".
The poem reads

SEASON
OUR
LIVES
WITH KINDNESS
'Though
trials and afflictions may
have come your way,
During
hours of tribulation my
heart felt abased.
God
teaches us many things whether
in joy or in pain,
For
life's experiences
Can
bring happiness and great gain.
And,
Lord, should I at times be struggling
And
not enjoy what comes my way,
Help
me to see the good that I have learned
Because
of woe and pain.
Help
me to be tender to
people that may be unkind,
And
allow the sweet fragrance
Of
Thy Spirit to be the needed
ointment in our lives.
Season
us with kindness
And
let Thy Love rule our days,
So
Jesus is reflected in all our ways.
