The
Bible speaks about a Jewish girl that became the queen over 127
provinces from India to Ethiopia. [Book
of Esther from the
Holy
Scripture, the Bible]
The king Ahasuerus loved Esther; however, due to a wicked plot by Haman,
the Jewish people were to be annihilated. The power of the king
was such that no person was to enter the court except he/she be asked to
see the king. Via the uncle Mordecai’s request, queen Esther
courageously entered the court of the king and informed him of the plot.
Several
months ago in 2006, I had the opportunity to attend a ladies’ Bible
study in a church. The study shared the many aspects that queen
Esther faced.
In
December 2006, we celebrated the birth of the King of kings; namely,
Jesus Christ, the Saviour of all mankind. Jesus was born in the
town of Bethlehem, died on the cross of Calvary, rose from the tomb, and
ascended into heaven to be at the Right Hand of the Heavenly
Father. [I
John 2:1,2]
I,
too, may come to the Heavenly King; however, the appointment may be made
whenever I desire and, at times, when the Holy Spirit places an urgent
tugging of the heart. [Hebrews
4:16]
My
Prayer for the New Year is:

 In
this New Year of 2007, Lord Jesus,
I
desire to take more time to come into
Your
Presence with praise, joy,
and
praying for petitions for myself
and
others. In
Jesus' Name, Amen! JH
