"NEW YEAR 2006"

Today, December 14, 2005, while reviewing objects from one of the rooms - in the home where I live - my eyes focused upon a large Bible that was purchased during the time when I was a single person.  During that time, I was a secretary in an engineering department of a large company.  While being an employee of the engineering department, a few persons made available items that could be purchased; and, the large Bible was one of the available purchases.

This morning, December 14, 2005, while focusing my thoughts upon the large Bible that is displayed on a coffee table, I praised God from my heart.  I also thought about Christians and non-Christians that question the existence of eternity - the life beyond this earthly life.  By faith and, of course, believing the Holy Scripture, I can be assured that a God in heaven through Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit created us and the world (Genesis 1:1, 26).

Spiritual blessings come from above.  I am saved by His grace and that not of myself (Ephesians 2:,8,9).  And such knowledge makes me grateful.  I humbly accept the "heart knowledge" that some day I shall visibly walk with Jesus and the saints in the “Glorious Abode” - namely “Heaven”.

What will the New Year of 2006 bring?  Perhaps:  continued health, God’s daily provisions for me and my family, and spiritual blessings that I may gratefully accept from day to day.

I am so glad that I know Him, the Lord of Lords, and King of Kings.  Knowing Him gives me continued assurance that Jesus does stand with me in every aspect of daily living!
