DOES GOD BUILD PEOPLE?

. . .  Page #57

Written by Johanna Hobrath (July 15-17,2010)

When a person drives through a city and/or drives via the landscape of the outskirts of a city, a person may see the progress of homes and/or buildings being constructed.  The progress of a project is started with the ground of the property being shaped by a bulldozer, so that ample room can be achieved to begin the task of building the home and/or the building.

In order for a home to be built, the foundation needs walls to be constructed.  Those important walls will then support the remaining task of eventually building rooms within the confines of the home.

Recently (7-15-2010), I had the privilege of seeing a house being built.  When I saw the beginning of a house being built, soon, thereafter, the basement walls of that house were then put into place.  The remaining walls showed the formation of the house.  The roofs of that house are also completed, and today (7-16-2010) I saw that the coverings of the roofs are almost done.  Today (7-16-2010) the windows also beautify the house that is in the building process.  Of course, in the future, the completed home will, most likely, be surrounded with thick, green grass, shrubs, and, perhaps, an assortment of flowers.  The completed dwelling place will appear as a lovely site within the new neighborhood.

Today, July 15, 2010, as I surveyed the new home, I decided that the title for this article may possibly have a unique title.  Indeed, you and/or I may question:  "DOES GOD BUILD PEOPLE?".

Permitting God to shape the "Home Of One’s Heart" is precious.  And, this type of shaping is oftentimes beyond human comprehension.  A person’s foundation began in a mother’s womb.

PSALM 139:13 and 14 tells us:  "For thou hast possessed my reins:  thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.  I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:  marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."

The "Holiness of God" can be seen everywhere - if and when a person accepts the tugging of one’s heart.  When accepting the tugging of one’s heart (spiritually speaking), God may then speak to your heart.  It is mind-boggling to realize that God is everywhere! God can be found in: America, Mexico, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Italy, Slovakia, Netherlands, Sweden, Russia, etc.

The Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ while walking on this earth prayed:  "I pray not that that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil."  John 17:15

As a Christian, you or I live in this world.  Jesus indicated to the Heavenly Father that He should not take us out of this world, but that God keep us from evil (or evil doings).  Building Christian character is a process that takes time.  A life yielded to God may come upon situations that, at times, may not be suitable.  While God is shaping/building one’s character, the thorns in life may bring hurts and wounds.  Not everything in life is conducive to one’s daily living.  Personally, I trust God through Christ Jesus. Jesus had nails piercing His Hands and Feet.  A crown of thorns was his adornment on the cross of Calvary.  His shed blood on the cross gives entrance and permission to some day enter the Glorious Eternity - if and when we accept that atonement for sin.  (John 3:16)

"When a Godly foundation is built upon a rock, so to speak, then, by faith, you and I may know that this type of foundation may carry you or I through life’s journey in sad times and good times."  Quotation by Johanna, July 16, 2010

(7-16-2010) Jesus stated in Matthew 7:24:  "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock."

P.S.  The building process in one’s life continues.  I desire to run the race that will win a crown, and, some day, the crown will be placed at the feet of Jesus.  My old Bible has a date notation of 8/28/2007 next to the Scripture Verse of Revelation 3:11.  Revelation 3:11 tells us that Jesus stated:

  "Behold, I come quickly:

hold that fast which thou hast,

that no man take thy crown."
