Stay away from evil, and cling to that which is good.(1)  Be mindful of one another in brotherly love.(2)  Serve the Lord with all your heart.(3)  Be not wise in your own eyes.(4)  Be honest in your daily living.(5)  And live peaceably with all men.(6)

August 14 ~ Avenge Not Yourselves

I, the Lord, will repay; therefore, avenge not yourselves.(1)  But be kind to your enemy.(2)  Know ye not that the higher powers are ordained of God and if you resist those powers, you then resist God and thus punishment can result.(3)  Do that which is good and you will have praise.(4)  Be ye subject also for conscience sake.(5)  Render to every man what is due him and owe no man anything.(6)
