Overview
of the Existence of the Halo Ministries
There
is a saying, "when God closes a door, He opens another
window." In order for this page to ring true, permit me to share an
overview of how the "Halo Ministries" came into existence.
I
believe with all my heart that God uses people for His purpose. People
are given unique talents and abilities. [Genesis
1:26] My
talents and/or abilities may differ from your talents and/or abilities.
Within any church, "God
has set some ..., first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers,
after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities
of tongues." I Corinthians 12:28
In
my youth, I enthusiastically worked in the church as a youth leader [C.A.
President], etc. With the coming years, I continued to use my talents,
to the best of my abilities, and, thus, realized that perhaps God was pleased
with what I was able to give to Him via my every-day life and/or service to
the church. I realize that conflicts in one's life do arise; however, I
never understood why some of my abilities could not be utilized within the
framework of a certain group. Also, at that time, I continued to realize
that I did have talents and/or abilities even though I could not understand
why my talents and/or abilities were not being utilized.
In
the 1980's I began to write. The Christian poetry reveals some of the
struggles in my life; but, most of all, my abiding faith in God and the
thankfulness that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord that has paved the road
to heaven. [John
3:16] I
now realize, as a dear sister-in-Christ once stated, "not everybody is
going to like you." The question: "is Jesus pleased with
me?"
One
day while attending a Bible study in a church that was conducted by the youth
pastor, Acts 2:18
became extremely real to me. The Holy Spirit is an important great
Person of the Holy Trinity. His Guidance [Psalm
32:8] is ever so
necessary for "the Work of the Ministry". Through
prayer and Bible reading, God, via His Spirit, does direct one's everyday life
[referring to the everyday living that includes the aspect of the important
spiritual life; namely, the relationship between God and mankind].
The
Christian life is not always "a path strewn with roses" because the
thorns, or pain in life, is experienced by mankind. I gratefully
continue with the awesome talent of writing that was bestowed upon me over the
years and, perhaps, years to come.
What
does the future hold? I know who holds the future! Heaven will
absolutely be awesome! Perhaps in heaven I may write more
poetry? booklets? articles? Whatever - remember, the
Glorious Eternity is Forever!"

[written
04-12-06] The Halo Ministries received a letter from the Internal
Revenue Service, Cincinnati, Ohio. The letter, dated March 24, 2006,
states that the Halo Ministries continues with the 501(c)(3) status.
I
am grateful that the Halo Ministries does have such a status and will be able
to continue with its internet ministry in the weeks, months, or, perhaps,
years to come. Praise God!
