THE
BIBLE AND LIFE

When
Jesus walked this earth about 2000 years ago, He used many parables to
teach his disciples and other followers of that day. The HOLY
SCRIPTURE is THE GUIDELINE for any Christian. In this day and age,
we, too, may learn from examples of others. Also, Spiritual Dreams
and Visions do come from God. We see many examples from the Bible
whereby God had something profound to say to men and women throughout
those Biblical Times.
I
am of the firm belief that Spiritual Dreams and Visions are definite
signs from God. It is, however, important to discern the content
of the dream and the person sharing the dream and/or vision.
During
Saturday afternoon on January 25, 2003, I and my husband attended the
annual business meeting of the Sonshine Circle. The Sonshine
Circle meeting took place in a church. The meeting was interesting in
that activities for the coming year were discussed among the good-size
group.
That
night - January 25-26,2003 - I had a profound dream.
THE
DREAM
I
was in
a room that had approximately three long tables. The tables were
placed in a “U” shape. The tables contained numerous pictures
of various sizes. I saw a few pictures that had original content,
and all the pictures had glass covers. One of the pictures - with
old frames - contained a small replica of an old wedding gown that fit
into a frame approximately 11x14 in size. The white gown had
already seen a number of years because it looked as though it was very
old. I also saw many other pictures, although I do not recall
their total content. There were photos that had oblong frames,
etc.
While
viewing the tables, there was a Man with a Suitcase. This Man was
collecting the old pictures with frames and placed them into His
Suitcase. This morning, January 26, 2003, I questioned the Lord
and asked, “What is the interpretation of such a dream?”
I
did not receive an answer immediately. After attending the morning
worship service, I continued to ponder about the dream; and, then, I
received the answer.
THE
INTERPRETATION
The
man with the suitcase was Jesus. The old pictures with old frames
represented people that are seniors. Those pictures with frames
belong to Jesus. The pictures are of great value -- they are
priceless.
When
Jesus collects my Picture, it will then be time for me to go to my
Eternal Home. None of us know when that time will be; however, I
must be ready to some day meet my MAKER
-- THE CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH!
When
thinking about the above dream, what additional significance does that
dream portray? There is no question that some day each of us will
face Jesus -- I am glad that I will face Him as My Saviour and not as my
Judge!

While
traveling through life, we have the Holy Scripture that helps us to
understand the spiritual aspects. None of us may understand all
there is to know about Christian Living; however, the Bible states:
"For
now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I
know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."
I Corinthians 13:12
Revelation
19:7 and 8 states: "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give
honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife
hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be
arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the
righteousness of saints."
I
am so grateful for God's Holy Word and His daily guidance, strength and
provisions!
The
Bible also states: “.
. . Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John
3:3)
