~ WHAT ARE PROBLEMS ~

Written by Johanna Hobrath (June/July 2009)

While returning home from a wonderful visit with relatives, I sat in the car (11-½ hours) and wrote an article.  The article came about because I was thinking about people in general.  And, when thinking about people, you think about families and the problems that may come from day-to-day living.  I trust that whoever reads this article will be encouraged to know that our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ and His Spirit cares about you and I.  (I Corinthians 10:13)

When God created man (Genesis 1:26), He breathed life into his being.  The characteristics of man is not a cookie-cutter existence.  Why?  God gave mankind individual characteristics and a free will.  The “free will” occurred during the creation and re-creation of the world (Genesis 1:1,2,28).

Within the characteristics of people, you find differences in personalities.  Some personalities will harmonize; however, other personalities will bring about conflict.  The question is:  “What is right, and what is wrong?” Also, then, do I agree with everything that a person proposes?  It is a fact that some people love the cold weather, and some people love the hot weather.  Some people love the country living; however, some people love the city.  No matter where a person lives, the everyday existence may bring about problems.  The everyday challenges may apply to the ruling within a family unit, a business venture, a city government, and/or a government of a nation.

While this article is being written, my thoughts dwell on the fact that each day may bring about challenges that may require the wisdom of problem-solving.  The solution(s) to problems may be achieved via dwelling in the presence of the Lord.

PRAYER - time spent with God - will bring about a revised perspective for problem-solving.  Also, while problems exist, God may give peace that passes all understanding.  (Philippians 4:7)

Problems, that occur in life, come in a variety of occurrences.  When Jesus walked this earth, He met people on a one-to-one basis, and He also met groups of people.  Jesus had compassion for the suffering of mankind; and miracles do exist today.  I also experience the love of God in my daily living.  None of us are promised a trouble-free life; however, I can know that God brings about an assurance that “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)

What will the tomorrows bring?  Hopefully the tomorrows will include joy and peace of one’s heart and soul, and a “Sustaining Power” that does flow from the “Throne of Grace”; namely, from the overflowing “Heavenly Storehouse”.

Jesus said in John 14:1-3

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

“In My Father’s house are many mansions:  if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself:  that where I am, there ye may be also.”

My Prayer:  “May the tomorrows continue to bring a ‘Sustaining Power’ in daily living until each of us enters the Glorious Abode; namely ; 'Heaven' ".

A meaningful poem reads as follows . . .

THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD!

The strength of the Lord cannot be comprehended

It reaches far beyond the distant miles

The Strength of the Lord is higher than a mountain

And reaches far beyond the distant sky

The Strength of the Lord speaks peace to weary souls

And comforts those in need from toils untold

Today I can savor the Love of God

Knowing that my Strength comes from Heaven above

And I journey on the path that leads to Heaven

Because His Strength gives victory in any battle

I must press on with the Call that God has Chosen

And help others to know the Wonderful Saviour

That died and lives at the Right Hand of the Father

And will forever be My Heavenly Shepherd!
