"CHRIST
UNDERSTANDS
YOUR
PAIN
AND
SORROW"

At
this point of writing [11-29-05], about 11:00 a.m., I plan to place a
casserole into the oven. My daughter-in-law, a part-time secretary at
the church where I and my husband worship, will come to my home and place the
baked casserole, as well as other food items, into her car. At a later
time, it will be decided if I drive with her to the pastor's and his wife's
home; or, perhaps my daughter-in-law will take the food products to the
church. Why?
It
was 19 years ago, the pastor's wife and her four-month-old baby were driving
in her car. A reckless, drunken driver collided his car into her car,
thus severely injuring the baby and causing broken ribs to the pastor's wife.
After the accident, the baby never recovered his complete health; therefore,
he needed total care for the duration of the 19 years. During those
years, the boy was in and out of the hospital and needed complete, devoted
care from his family and physicians.
Early
this morning, November 29, 2005 at 12:30 a.m., the 19-year-old son was called
to His Heavenly Home. Undoubtedly when caring for a person for many
years, the departing of a loved one is never accepted with a "no
care" attitude. I like to think that Jesus may have said, "Carrick,
come home my child."
The
Heavenly Home is very real. We stand a few weeks before Christmas 2005. "For
the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was
lost" [Luke
19:10]
The promise of Heaven is for everyone that accepts the "Redemptive
Plan" that God through His Son Jesus Christ has given to the world.
[John 3:16]
The
question, "Will you face Jesus in Heaven?". Please read about

I
do not claim to be a great poet; however, I believe that God chooses Christian
poets with great or small talents.
On
September 29, 2005, I began to write a poem; and on November 29th and 30th,
2005 I finalized the following poem:
