"WE
SHALL
BEHOLD
HIM”
(Song Title by Dotty Rambo)
.
. . A Spiritual Diary Entry by Johanna Hobrath (May 19, 2008)
It
is approximately 12:35 p.m. on May 19, 2008. The sun is shining today
in this southern state of the United
States of America. It was on May 15 (2008) when I traveled to this
southern city. The reason for traveling to this city was for the
purpose of visiting my oldest son and his wife. Several days prior to
the trip, I spoke with one of my nieces and I stated: "I am a
little apprehensive because I will be flying an airplane alone" --
indicating that no family member will be flying with me. My niece then
stated: "Take your Bible along". My reply: "yes,
I plan to do so."
And
now, May 19th, while finishing mopping the kitchen floor in this lovely
home, located in this southern state, I am enjoying visiting with my son and
his wife. My son and his wife are working at their employment places
today.
I
believe with all my heart that a person’s path is oftentimes God-ordained.
During my airplane traveling time on May 15th, I took my well-worn
Bible and read from the book of Psalms.
A
few weeks ago (May 2008), the Wednesday evening Bible teacher spoke about
the "Fruit of the Spirit". One of the Fruit of the Spirit is
"meekness". I have often heard that "meekness"
does not indicate "weakness".
Psalm
7:8 states: "The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O
LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is
in me."
While
reading Psalm
7:8 (and while
flying with a Continental airplane that was high in the sky), my heart
jumped for joy and I said from my heart, "WOW, LORD!" I then
read Psalm 7:9,
and my heart was saddened because I was thinking of the United States of
America. Psalm
7:9 reads: "Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end;
but establish the just for the righteous God trieth the hearts and
reins."
Psalm
7:17 states so beautifully: "I will praise the LORD according to
the righteousness and will sing praise to the same of the LORD most
high."
On
May 15th, while entering the airport, my youngest son helped me with the
necessity of complying with the airline routine. At the end of the
two-hour flight, I was graciously greeted at the luggage department by my
oldest son, and soon entered the car that was driven by my daughter-in-law.
On
Sunday morning, May 19 2008, at 11:00 a.m., we attended the Sunday Morning
Church Service at the
Cornerstone
Life Church. We were very much impressed by the lovely Christian
atmosphere and the friendliness of the people. The young preacher
spoke a phrase that really spoke to my heart! The phrase and/or
sentence is: "God does not need you. You need God!"
Again, I said from my heart: "WOW, LORD!"
Today,
May 19th, while listening to the Trinity Broadcast Network television
station, the TBN station featured the tribute to Dotty Rambo. Dotty
was an anointed song writer and she wrote the song entitled "We
Shall Behold Him".
I heard the song "We
Shall Behold Him"
a long time ago and was richly blessed by its anointed lyrics and song that
was written by Dotty Rambo.
Yes,
as a born-again believer; and, yes, when Jesus returns (I
Thessalonians 4:16-18)
you and I shall behold the Saviour and Lord in "All of His Glory".
Today, Dotty is beholding the Lord in the Glorious Eternity!
Am
I homesick today, May 19th, for my earthly home? Not yet. Am I
homesick for Heaven? God will call me home when the time is right.
I want to continue to experience His anointing in the Wednesday evening
Bible Studies and/or Sunday Morning Services. I want to experience His
anointing, His speaking to my heart, His guidance, and His day-to-day love
and direction so that I may continue "to bloom where God has planted
me". Like
Dotty Rambo, I, too, will some day "Behold Jesus in All of His
Glory"!
This
coming Thursday, May 22 (2008), my other group of immediate family will
travel to this home; and, we will be together for a long weekend. I
look forward to be with those precious people also.
And,
now, May 19, 2008, I close this article. I will be accomplishing more
household tasks.
